Terrible customer service. Ordered a delivery via the morliss website at 19.40 on Friday 20th September. Order paid for and confirmed and delivery expected at 20.25. Received an email 10 minutes later to say a 15 minute delay, no problem whatsoever. Food should be delivered around 20.40. At 21.40 no food delivery or communication from shop. Tried to call the shop about ten times, no answer, by this point I was not happy in the slightest. I drove the three miles to the shop and arrived at 21.55 to find it empty apart from three workers. I enquired about my delivery and why they were not answering their telephone and was told the driver had just left (how convenient) and given a load of excuses of how busy they had been.
The woman in charge gave me a load of poor excuses about the phone line being down, that the website I ordered from wasn’t their own website (it was their website, I didn’t order through just eat/uber or any third party) and just general rubbish to avoid taking any responsibility. She called the delivery driver who apparently was three minutes away from my house so I said I would wait the three minutes for him to get there as my daughter was at home and could accept it, strangely enough she decided to tell him to bring the order back to the shop and she would give me my order while I was there. Clearly he wasn’t three minutes away from my house! I tried calling the shop while having this interaction with the staff and I could see the phone ringer had been turned off, the staff looked at the phone (obviously the light on the phone was flashing) and realising they had been caught out then decided to start complaining to me about how they paid £30 odd pound for a service that they were not getting (laughable) I pointed out to the lady that she was obviously aware of the “imaginary problem” and that it wasn’t my problem and she should deal with it and that I wasn’t interested in hearing her excuses as other reviews had been posted with the phones being ignored. She did not like this and got quite irate. I pointed out she had all my contact details, email and telephone number and that she had no excuse for not keeping me updated, as by this point they were well aware that my order had been placed over two hours before, and that had they provided any customer service this situation wouldn’t have happened. Woman’s still trying to rattle on and trying to get me to emphasise with her over her “telephone problem” to which by that point I had enough and told her I wasn’t interested, I just wanted my food. Honesty the whole situation was a debacle. Terrible customer service and the staff’s fabrication of events to avoid taking responsibility was embarrassing.
The food was great once we actually got it but I will not be ordering...
Read moreBy far the worst delivery i have ever had, 4 times it took nearly 2 hours, and each time the food was dry so it had been kept in a heater light or something like that, the telephone matter is also not friendly at all , on busy nights they use a real delivery driver , but on normal weekdays they do it themselves, even if you order when they open it still takes ages to deliver as they are too stingy to employ the driver for the right amount of hours, minimum delivery was 10 pound then 13 now 15, if they were just not so greedy and employed 2 drivers we wouldnt get dry food and we wouldnt have to wait stupid amounts of time, we have had to stop ordering from these rude people as its like a circus of rude...
Read moreAVOID, Would give zero stars . Used to be good but after my order never turned up on time I tried calling for an update with no one answering the phone. So after nearly an hour overdue and 15 or so call attempts I went to my local chippy, came back to find delivery driver knocking on my door. I told them politely exactly where they could deliver and they said they would ensure a refund, still trying to get them to answer phone to clarify refund status but looks like my bank fraud team will need to get involved. Avoid the headache and order from somewhere decent and definitely avoid paying in advance...
