The St Lawrence Tavern — Restaurant in Thanet

I was attending a birthday party in a separate room with friends and neighbours. I was extremely happy with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They provided all the help they could without even being asked. They helped set up, carry in the birthday cake, change the music, make and lay out the buffet. They even had separate light up headphones which could play different tracks so that the guests could choose to listen to different music if they so wished, which went down well with the children and teenagers. At the end of the party the amazing staff even helped us to take down the decorations and borrow the trays to take food home on and return them another day. Very rowdy loud & not really for the older age groups in the early evening. Very large groups of young lads seem to take over the place & run amok all over the pub, using abusive language. Staff did not seem to care about their behaviour & just let them get on with being very vocal & intimating? Am sure it was not just alcohol they where consuming, after working in the entertainment industry myself for over two decades. Have not been there for many years & doubt very much I will ever go there again, shame used to be a nice family pub😔much better & safer places to go for a drink in Ramsgate would definitely not recommended, even just for your own safety. Absolutely disgusting place the staff are very rude and highly abusive in front of children and also what I saw The staff drink why they are on shift you can see they have locals they have no control over disgusting language and vile behaviour in front of children and women you can also see there is a white powder substance being used in the toilets very poorly cleaned tables and glasses and so on it might of been because of the nice hot day but what I saw they also have rats running in and out of the bins and from the back alley access to the car park I can’t comment on the food because what I heard and saw I would not want to risk it and to top it all off they even charge you for car parking very poorly run down place owners should be ashamed...
