The big question I have is did the barista grow his magnificent hipster beard for the job? The flat white he made was the best coffee I've ever had in Thanet. Not saying much perhaps, but it was on a par with the Taylor Street coffee shop chain. Really exceptional. The beard was at full strength.
The hot food was poor. Three types of cheese toastie to choose from and if you didn't want a cheese toastie, which I didn't, then hard cheese. I had to eat so I took the one with mushroom. It was disgustingly greasy and far too heavy. Made me feel as dirty as the full English I was hoping for with none of the joy. I did however leave full.
A nice interior and a pleasant atmosphere. The walk through the puddled and dog fouled alley required to reach it only adds to the ambience.

2 standouts are the Chocolate Cream filled Cruffin (a Cross between a Croissant & Muffin) and the Cinnamon Latte. Also they can do a babyccino (steamed milk in a little cup) if you are visiting with a little one.
