🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 “This Fish Burger Slapped Harder Than My Wi-Fi on Payday”

I wasn’t expecting much. I just wanted a fish burger — not a spiritual awakening in a burger bun. But here we are.

First bite? BOOM. It was like Poseidon himself blessed this fillet with a trident and a wink. Crispy on the outside, flaky on the inside — like the fish had just done a yoga retreat and was living its best afterlife between two buns.

The tartar sauce? Smooth. Cool. Like James Bond in a blender. And don’t get me started on the lettuce — it was so fresh I’m convinced it still had a gym membership.

Every bite was a sea-shanty of flavour. I had a brief moment where I considered proposing to the person who made it, but I was too busy licking my fingers like a feral seagull on holiday.

Honestly, if this fish burger were a person, it would have its own Netflix series, an autobiography, and a line of scented candles.

10/10. Would fight a flock of angry pelicans to eat...

Food that makes you smile

I can honestly say that this has been the best Pub food experience I have had for many years.

If you want simple, honest, comforting pub food then the Kings Arms is the place to go Staff are welcoming and polite and you are greeted with a smile. This is a very busy , vibrant pub and I would recommend booked to ensure you get a table, we rocked up about 7.10 on a Sunday evening and where very lucky to get the last table available

We had a Cod Burger and Ham egg and chips, I hope the photos do it justice, both were very generous in size and of the highest quality and taste. Proper real chips cooked to perfection, the cod portion about 2”thick flakey and moist. Ham was about 1cm thick and 2 large slices, all with fantastic flavour.

My wife and I stayed in nearby higher Clovelly and needed somewhere to eat for a couple of nights, went in on the off chance to see if any tables were available for that evening, luckily enough there was one table left that hadn't been reserved (thank goodness), atmosphere really nice, food glorious, I had the cod burger, delicious and just what I needed. Staff are all super friendly, especially the owner/managers, lovely young couple who treated us like we were family, booked for the next night and once again was not disappointed, good old fashioned pub grub, absolutely loved it. Would I go here again ?.............. absolutely, in a heart beat, keep up the good work guys. Gareth and Sandy...
