Bent Brook — Restaurant in Trafford

We turned up for a family meal having previously been very pleased with both food and service. That was a few months back and it appears that they must have changed hands or they have slacked on their service. We ordered drinks to start and 4 of the 6 glasses stunk due to the washer not being correctly looked after. I can't write what they smelt off on here as they don't allow swear words. But it sounds like Bit. One drink was fine. One cup had lipstick all over it. All were returned and no compensation was given. Just a new set of drinks. Not even discount. Food order went in. No issue with the wait time as it was a big order but I can tell why the prices are so cheap. All of the meats are of a poor quality. The burgers did not taste of meat but just an odd plain taste. Same as the bacon. My mum had a mixed grill and the sausage was bland. The chicken had never seen a grill pan, clearly just microwaved after being boiled. I will say the steak was decent. Oh and the chicken wings were overdone with zero seasoning too. My dad wanted fish and chips but the fryer was broke. My sister also ordered the mixed grill. This did not come with a grilled tomato, mushrooms or the pinapple as advertised and they had to be asked for afterward. My wife had the battered chicken and that was probably the nicest meal of all of us. It was not as busy as we thought it would be on a bank holiday. It was very very quiet and we were disappointed but could see why it was so quiet if this is what the new standards are like. Came here for Xmas Dinner. Me and myb3 kids. We had the warmest welcome and the most beautiful food. The staff were so attentive and friendly. Couldn't have been any better if they tried. Thanks so much. Highly recommend. Eileen and team, you are just so lovely. X

Went in tonight. We were staying an hour. And ended up staying for the quiz. Emma, Annie and kade were amazing. Especially kade. What a brilliant night

This place really is incredible. Over the last few monthsI have witnessed a member of staff show such kindness and patience with a young child who was struggling slightly. I think the lady on that occasion was called Annie. Ayla and Irene really go above and beyond to accommodate all needs, even in the busiest times, to squeezing In a football team (literally) to helping my family and I enjoy Xmas. Taz is just alwalys going above to make sure you are happy and again, Annie does everything she can to make sure you are happy. I saw abbie serve a group of ladies who were making a challenge out of the dividing of the bill and she had waaay more patience than I ever could. I was in here this eve with a lady who had disabilities and kayleigh helped her when she wanted to be independent. This is why I return time and time again for work and play. Never have I come across a more professional, homely, welcoming place. Well done...

Thursday Burger night where you (buy one get one free),is great value. The burgers we had were cooked and presented well. Ordered from the app which works well and orders were brought to the table fast and efficiently. All the staff we had interaction with were professional. Just visited again 5 stars this time ( Ayla is an amazing member of staff and she is a real credit to Green King!. Change of staff on this visit, no sign of menus on the table and didn't ask how are meals were! Average this time around green king.
