McDonald's — Restaurant in Trafford

I’ve been to this McDonald’s a few times now, and every single time, the service has been terrible. I know we don’t usually expect much service at McDonald’s, but even by those standards, the attitude here is shockingly bad. (Just to be fair — I’m not referring to the cleaning staff, they’re not the problem.)

Last time, my friend forgot that ketchup at this location is self-serve from a separate station. He went to the till and politely asked a staff member for some ketchup. Instead of replying, the staff just pointed to a sign behind the counter that says extra sauces require payment. Honestly, we don’t mind paying — the issue is, would it hurt to give a verbal reply instead of just pointing? And instead of pointing to the price sign, why not direct us to the free ketchup station?

Today, I went again for lunch. It wasn’t busy at all. I was with a small child, however I still opted for self-pickup. After ordering, I had to go sit down to watch my kid, but I wasn’t too far from the counter and assumed I’d hear them call my number. After waiting a while with no call, I walked up to check — sure enough, my food was already sitting there with no one watching it. I went closer to confirm if it was my order, but no staff paid attention to me. I couldn’t help but think — if someone had decided to just take it, no one would’ve noticed!

I stood there for a moment trying to ask a staff member if it was my order, and even though one of them clearly saw me, they pretended not to.

Again — the restaurant wasn’t busy. If no one is picking up their order, shouldn’t the staff at least call out the number a second or third time, or speak a little louder? Unfortunately, that never happened. 😡

Sadly, this is the closest McDonald’s near Altrainham and I don’t have many choices. But if I could, I would happily drive further just to avoid ever coming back...

Very very disappointing and not up to standard! I called in Altrincham McDonalds for lunch on 31st August 22. It was busy, people all over, so I went to the Gents loo first, a bit messy and wet in there but it was busy, I then went to order my meal. I have never used the "self order system" and usually go to the counter, which I did, and waited but no one came, everything was happening behind the partition, serving the drive through, so I looked for help using the self order, no staff around so I tried it myself,,, I got lost in the system 3 times until I finally managed to get my order done, paid by credit card, done! waited for a receipt or something to say my number, nothing, so I knew what I had ordered but not my number, many people waiting and collecting orders, Uber, Collection, individuals etc. Staff were just coming out from the back shouting " Number 96 etc" and disappearing round the back again, I spoke to someone in the queue and told him what happened,,, he replied, "yes, they often don't work properly"! after 10 to 15 minutes I finally caught a staff member before he disappeared around the back again and explained my problem, he grabbed one of the delivery bags left with the others on the counter and said, this looks like what you ordered and handed me the bag, I then took the bag, stopped to just get a tub of ketchup on my way out,,, it was empty, so I went outside to eat,,, it was a cold double cheeseburger, cold fries and cold coffee. disgusting, a waste of £6.17 (one...

Went to this restaurant on Monday 26th August 24 arriving at approx 10am. Ordered our food to take out …. Fast food it was definitely not, I’ve see faster sloths. We watched one of the managers (female) stand and open the bags, having a laugh and joke with her fellow employees, it’s lovely seeing someone happy are work, but this was a joke. People who came in after us were served first, it appeared the ‘just eat’ orders ( other delivery companies are available lol) were priority.. One couple came back twice to correct their order. We stood there for over 30 mins waiting and watching what I now think was our order packed and unpacked twice. My husband asked after 15 mins if they could check where our order was, 10 mins later a guy came and asked what our ‘customisatolion’ was????? I had asked for no muffin on the order screen, surely that would be on the ticket! When the order came I checked everything ( I thought) and there was no cheese in one of the muffins. By the time we got home the Latte was barely warm, and what was supposed to be a bacon and egg muffin, wrapped in the correct paper, was a sausage !!!
