Entire Order Went missing during this, my first ever visit:
I ordered 3 X Chow Meins plus 2 other sushi roll starters, one Seabass and one prawn based one.
Issues in detail: 3 hour wait with no contact/responses from vendor despite multiple requests + then they send it to the wrong house number and the wrong postcode as I'm asking UberEats to cancel.
I would say that 50% of the blame resides with UberEats App platform.
Vendor issues: Ordered for 3 of us at 6.41pm Saturday evening (tonight), roughly 30 mins later they added an automated 20 to 30 mins delay, which was fine.
During the next 2 and a half hours; No further digital updates despite requesting updates through the app 4 times. No Calls - No text message - nothing No way to get through to them as their phonelines auto routed to their voicemail Their voicemail in turn reported that their msg box was full (this continued to be the case upt at least 2210 hrs.
UberEats App: Malfunctioning help system: Tried to cancel via app, help buttons led nowhere, only to an error message despite 10 attempts or so: "Wait, this workflow is not supported for fibrin or takeaway".
I then tried twice calling UberEats UK support number, the first time they seemed to auto-disconect me after 25 minutes, the 2nd time was successful after another 25 to 30 Min wait in the queue.
Lady whilst polite and apologetic, explained that she would process my refund n compliant request before suggesting I try an 8th or 10th time on their Help system by restarting my phone and the. Logging in then back out again.
It's sad, the driver whenever he delivered it, actually sent it to some new neighbours apartments, across the street I think...I walked a few mins over but no sign of our food.
Driver didn't even check to ensure they got the right household or client, a simple name check or call anytime during the 3 X hour wait on my provided mobile number would've helped him or her realise they were at the wrong address, bit nope nothing.
I was actually hoping to sample this place as a maiden voyage here, but after a very troublesome evening with atrocious complacency and neglectfulness, I don't think I'll be trying this place again and will settle for a refund.

Upon entering, the initial interaction with the staff set a negative tone; the waiter approached us without a greeting, merely asking for our party size. The lack of courtesy continued as we were given only three menus, and were left to sit at an uncleared table. Such an oversight in hospitality basics can be off-putting.
The service didn’t improve with our order. When requesting tap water after being provided with bottled water, the server's response was confrontational. She insisted that we should have specified our preference beforehand, responding to our confusion with “you should have known,” which felt unnecessarily contentious. Further exacerbating the situation, when our dissatisfaction became apparent, the server brusquely suggested, "You can take your money and leave if you want," a comment that was both shocking and unwelcome.
This remark escalated tensions further when my friend attempted to order tap water for himself after witnessing the initial exchange. The server's abrupt demeanor prompted an argument that disrupted our visit. Feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable, we decided to take our meals as takeaway. Even then, the frustration of the interaction overshadowed our desire to enjoy the food we had already paid for.
Overall, the experience at Osechi Japanese and Asian Food Restaurant was far from the welcoming, enjoyable dining outing one would expect. The staff's handling of basic requests and customer interaction was not only unprofessional but also inhospitable. It's disheartening when a meal out, especially with children, turns into a stressful ordeal.
