So I had only had five guys in America before and I loved it, when I found out one had opened locally to me I thought I’d give it a try. I ordered a cheese burger, regular fries and regular drink, came to just over £18! Ok so the burger you get two patties, cheese and a toasted bun, to say it was disappointing would be an understatement. All you could taste was the cheese, the burgers were tasteless, not a hint of seasoning, really poor. The fries, so you get LOADS, more than you need which seems silly, again tasteless. No crunch, bland unseasoned boring limp chips! The drink, well you can really get that wrong to be fair. 3/10 at best! Really poor….. I’d happy pay £18 for a decent burger meal, but this was far from decent. A double 1/4lb meal from McDonald’s is 1/3 of the price and twice as nice when compared to this visit.

Read moreAfter a good burger at Tunbridge Wells Five Guys I went to the toilets to find them locked with pass code required. Is this a prison? I went back to the counter and had to shout across the kitchen, asking for the pass code. The first, curt and surly, response that I received was 'have you ordered anything'? Attendance at this restaurant was low and I am not surprised - I felt like a small boy (I am retired) and an unwanted complication. In future I will stick with Roddyburger, five minutes walk from here where the burgers are just as good and cheaper but where the very friendly welcome always makes me feel like a valued customer. Read moreOur first vist and our last. The coke was unrecognisable as coke. It was like fizzy water. We I commented to the member of staff, I was told to use the other machine. (Which wasn't working at all). The fries were inedible as they were super salty, I mean mouth shrivelled instantly. The till had no paper so I was not given a receipt. And there is no provision for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. Since then I have tried to speak to customer service about my experience. They have made me feel like a liar. Rather then apologise and offer me a refund or even a part refund on my order. They responded after multiple messages asking for more details with a drink and fries on them... So unbelievably...
