Pecorino Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

Firstly, I asked for a large bottle of water which they could not provide so I switched to tap water. The waitress’s face when I asked for tap water! She screwed up her face and looked down her nose as though I was something she found on the bottom of her shoe!

The food was not fresh, poor produce and overcooked. Both starters were not fresh (the bread was so hard the table was rocking while trying to cut it). The veal main course was tough and overcooked. I told the waitress and got the response “have you ever had veal before?” So rude and condescending. The veal was swimming in oil, chips were over salted, and there was a wilted rocket salad on the plate. My husbands tagliatelle was also overcooked and stodgy. Unpleasant female waitress who looks down her nose on paying customers. £90 for poor, over cooked, reheated food...

Our meal was absolutely delicious! Everything tasted fresh and was simple but well done ☺️ the service was very fast, if anything perhaps a little too fast?! It would have been nice to have a little time inbetween courses, the waitress was very efficient. We were one of the first tables in, so the atmosphere was lacking a bit but it livened up later! I liked all the Italian pop music, and the decor was bright, clean and cosy, even the plates were very nice! Since this place is at the quieter end of town, it might not be everyone's first port of call, but I think it is well worth going a little bit...

We went to the restaurant after the Lantern Parade in Tunbridge Wells. First of all, it was an extremely clean, bright, and friendly establishment with very, very pleasant staff. We liked the menu. We ordered simple dishes that were cooked perfectly and included. Spaghetti Bolognese and Penne Arabiata were simply delicious. The coffee that followed was excellent.
