Was not shown the same courtesy as other guests and wasn't shown to my table. Location where we was seated was basically a corridor next to the office or back of house. Not enough space for staff to serve food or drinks but we know how to speak clearly and pass the food/drinks to the person. Staircase is a spiral staircase so had plenty of occasion where I came across staff coming down the stairs carrying stacked glasses and giving me very little room to get past maybe company need to invest in a dumb waiter lift save any possible accidents of staff/customers getting hurt. Gents toilet looked like it needs some work see pictures sink tap not facing the right way.

A really nice building with a well done interior, especially for pizza express. The service was quick even though there were eight of us, the waiter was the best and I've ever had with some fantastic humour. The food was relatively good quality, I had the meats sharing plate for starter and gelato for dessert. Its a pizza express, you get what you expect. I am dropping one star because of the melted ice cream that was served to me for dessert and them putting the mains down before collecting starter plates. All in all, really enjoyable, makes it a good pizza express for the building and the waiter we had.

Pizzas were perfect! A tad on the pricey side but not greatly over what we expected. Waiting staff were friendly and attentive and service was quick. Child friendly, quite a few in there at the time we dined who were kept busy with colouring activities. Only downside was the toilets definitely need a bit of attention as they're very shabby which lets the place down a bit.

I booked a table here to have dinner with my 7 year old daughter. Things started off well, with the staff being very attentive and friendly, but then down hill from there as things got busier and staff didn’t seem to cope and we felt ignored.

I ordered the “sloppy vegan” pizza, probably one of the worst vegan pizzas I’d had anywhere, with pieces of heated up quorn on. It didn’t seemed cooked and bared virtually no resemblance to the picture on the A board outside.

My daughter’s pasta was ok, not great, she only ate half, but then for dessert was disappointed to find they only had vanilla flavour ice cream on the menu, she only likes chocolate. She opted for the brownie, only to discover it had run out, so went for the “rainbow ice lolly” - this has to be the most pathetic excuse for a kids dessert we have ever seen! It barely had any colour or flavour to it, just an overbearing taste of savoury stewed apple. I had to call a different waitress over to change it, so we opted for a babycino, which were thankfully not charged for.

We were left at the end, with my daughter announcing that she is hungry and just desperate to leave but being ignored and it taking far too long to bring the bill.

I don’t think I’ll be eating at any pizza express again, sadly they really have lost it and the only reason this one was busy was probably due to...

Last day of the half term treat (for mama as much as anyone else!) lunch out. The food was delicious, we were a bit early for our res, and were seated immediately and we're the only folk in the place for a while. I asked about the kids deal, and was told to download the app and pay through that. Which I did. When I spoke to another member of staff I was told that was not necessary? I'd rather not have countless apps and businesses with all my deets, when it's not by my choice. It felt a bit cheeky, like I was tricked into the app and I was a bit upset that I'd spent time and effort doing it all for nowt! The food came quickly, it was delicious, the service was not friendly and I'd probably not rush back to that restaurant in a hurry.

Edit Feb 25 - another school holiday/kids eat free sesh and this time the experience was far far superior. The staff member who was hurried/rude/unhelpful last time was not there today. All the staff we had wait on us today were really helpful and kind. We were a table of seven and again the food was timely, our orders taken quickly and everything was absolutely delicious. We've been to a few Pizza Express restaurants and this ones quality of food actually is really good. Everyone ate every scrap of pizza :) thanks for the visit today, will be back again...

Really disappointed by our experience last night. We haven't been to pizza express in 2 years, and my goodness has it gone downhill. My husband ordered a pizza with 2 extra toppings, neither of which were present. We ordered a shared starter ( bruschettas) which arrived at the same time as our pizzas, so we had to eat it quickly to stop the pizzas getting cold. At this point it all seemed very rushed, but there was no acknowledgement that these shouldn't have arrived at the same time. Maybe we should have sent our pizzas back until we were ready. My padana lagera was pretty tasteless, but perhaps the recipe has changed. It used to be so tasty. My husband's pizza seemed very small, much smaller than the pizzas on other tables, and was obviously lacking the 2 extra toppings which would have added flavour. When our plates were cleared, by a young lady she offered a dessert menu but never brought it and promptly disappeared never to be seen again. We then sat for over half an hour waiting before finally getting someone's attention and some dessert menus. Yes, we could have sent our pizzas back, and we really should have had the extra toppings removed from the bill, but by then, we'd had enough. The restaurant was half full and there appeared to be plenty of...
