A lovely pub and it's a shame to have to write this but unfortunately my review is based on one particular member of staff dan. Visited for the first time with my friend as its her local and the young lad decided it was appropriate to make disgusting comments based on my appearance. I spoke to his boss who had words with time because of this and I thought it was sorted. On returning due to this I came back into the pub to give it a second and o said to the lad who was working again is everything OK are we friends now and he ignored me. Neither customer at the bar said what was that about. I explained the situation and said I thought it was sorted as his boss spoke to him. Dan then said very loudly infront of everyone my boss said nothing and laughed at me. Read moreSaturday 15th December. I cannot fault the pub, the beer, or the staff, but I was disappointed with the food. I ordered two chicken and bacon panini and when my order was brought to the table it was chicken and bacon between dry slices of standard white sliced bread which, by the feel of it, had been defrosted under a grill.
An establishment which prides itself on its Italian cuisine should know that panini are rolls, not sandwiches, and panini bread is very different from that of a standard sliced white loaf. I doubt that I shall return to gamble on one of their pizzas. Like I said...
Read moreHave not lived very long in Southborough, but I soon found The Imperial and made it my local. I have met some very interesting characters and made one or two friends. It takes time to find friends and it is not a short process, especially for an old codger like me. However, I was made welcome by the friendly staff almost day one. The service is second to none, the food is reasonably priced and well cooked by the house Chef. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Friday afternoons/evenings are extremely busy....
