The Prince Of Wales — Restaurant in Tunbridge Wells

We love this pub, in the heart of Tunbridge Wells. When we first moved we went for a drink and met the most wonderful man, Brian. He went to the Prince every night, without fail, for two pints of bitter.

We hadn't been around for a while and decided to go tonight to catch up with Brian over nightcap. His table was empty, the lovely staff told us the news we were so sorry to hear - our old friend has passed away. We think he was 90 years old and he had the most incredible and interesting stories that you could listen to for hours - we did, many times.

Not bad but can be much better. A bit of elbow grease cleanliness can be much improved and the selection of drinks can also be looked at. The day we visited there was no Guiness and some lager was out of stock as well. Hope you had a really busy day to say you don't have certain drinks. On the plus side the building is beautiful and with character, and a bonus is the decent size rear garden (wich needs a bit of tidying up weedol and a good sweep will do the trick). After a lot of shopping nearby I popped into the Prince of Wales pub. An excellent choice. There is a great choice of beers and other beverages. The staff were excellent and the pub was nice and inviting.
