The Market House — Restaurant in Uttlesford

Booked a table for dinner, three people. And I have never left a restaurant so fast, this place shouldn't even be called a restaurant to be honest. It's more like a bar/nightclub. No one cared to ask us if we're ready to order and it was very hard to get any attention as all the staff cared for is the party at the back. We were really hungry, waited 30 min and when it finally arrived it wasn't a proper meal. The shared platter that my boyfriend ordered was the only decent amount of food out of the three orders. The atmosphere would have been nice if it wasn't for a group of people entering the place constantly trying to build a DJ booth at the back. We were seated by the very doors with uncomfortable chairs and a really low table. Ended up going to McDonald's at the end. This place is a waste of time and money unless you want the bar experience. We were excited to be eating Tapas in Saffron Walden but unfortunately the food just wasn't right tonight. The mac and cheese was not cheesy - it was a watery paste. The salad was inedible - we genuinely think someone spilt some salt on it as that's all we could taste. The chilli beef was burnt. The chicken wings were dried out. We didn't finish our dinner. We paid the bill and left.

I just called to give feedback and the person who answered the phone agreed with me that they were having some issues with the food at the moment. It's such a shame.
