First and last visit. What a performance.

The microwave got more of a workout than the staff. Ping after ping, I started to wonder if I had wandered into a canteen for forgotten leftovers. The young team (nothing wrong with that at all) just seemed completely unbothered. Glued to their phones, barely looked up, no interest in the customers or the food they were serving.

The fish was a sad little slab. Dry, bland, and so tough I needed a chisel. Chips were greasy enough to haunt me for hours afterwards. The pie? Straight from the chiller to the microwave while I watched. The saveloy was cold and lonely on the plate, like it had been waiting there longer than I had. The only thing that was remotely edible was the curry sauce, and even that was probably a fluke.

Oh, and the windows. So filthy and greasy you could almost write your review right into the glass. If you like your lunch with a side of grime and disappointment, this is the spot.

Definitively the worst fish and chips I have ever had. I was told to pick them order up at 7pm and arrived early at 6.50pm. It was there in the hot cupboard all wrapped up. Heaven knows how long it has been there. When I opened it once home (5 minute journey): cod portion miniscule (advertised as medium), inside overcooked, batter soft and squishy because it has been cooked so long ago, chips still white. The first time I ordered chips, I can honestly say they were the best I had eaten anywhere. Since then prices went up and the quality of chips went down. It may just be a 'timing' thing, as you can make nice chips but my experience is of a drop in quality. Please don't drop standards as you will just be another chip shop equal to others in SW and you can be better. You will lose...
