Hello there weatherspoons team,

I was wondering if you could pass on praise to one of your amazing staff members that served me today?

I was out for lunch, with a friend I've not seen for years, and whilst a little anxious about being out for the first time- in a long time- she was an absolute Ray of sunshine towards me.

She has dark brown and blue undercut hair style, petite, and was just so warm and happy in how she was whilst taking my order. She was very polite, very smiley, welcoming and she truly made my day by just being thoroughly wonderful. There aren't many staff that truly go out of their way to ensure your made to feel welcome but this young lady did.

She dealt with a difficult customer in front of me with such ease that I feel you should identify who this member of staff is and praise her for the wonderful work and effort she puts into her role with you.

I wasn't sure to head out today but her kindness and warmth really took me back and I want to thank her for it. I work as an assistant manager and senior dental nurse and my role feedback is only noted when a patient writes a review, so I'm doing exactly that for this wonderful young lady. I couldn't see a name badge so apologies for my description only of her.

I've also written to weatherspoons directly so I'm hoping one of these will reach her management and finally her.

Wetherspoons are generic, you know what you're going to get. This isn't your normal Wetherspoons. Went there few weeks ago ordered chicken panini with a portion of chips, some numpty behind the bar said it comes with chips, I then explained this is a small portion, I would like large, so two separate orders, could not grasp this concept even though explained it three times. Again, could not grasp the complexities of ordering a chicken sandwich and portion of chips on the side, make your own mind up on her intelligence?! Went there yesterday (after saying not eating there again), curry day, ordered a curry with extras. After 40 minutes had almost drunk my pint, went back to bar to get a half, heard something about our table number, asked on issue, had no extras, so got partial refund. The woman and child in front of me ordered, took a while, no problem, then was told 45 minute wait, so she cancelled her order with then need of manager to be available, why wasn't she told this at the start? Well at least she was told, my food arrived after 55 minutes by which time had to leave to go back to work, canceled order. Manager apologized, I should have been told how long wait was, but the same manager who I overheard telling the bar staff not to say how long wait is after the mother and child order cancelation earlier. Need more common sense skills and forget about the catering skills, would be a start or get some proper staff and sack...

Appalling service tonight for Curry Night (Thursday 18th July). Ordered food and drink through the app no problem and the drinks I'm pleased to say arrived within 5 minutes. The food on the other hand had still after 50 minutes not arrived so my Son and I went to the bar to chase up and coincidentally there were others also complaining of an extremely long wait for food. Strangely 5 minutes later the food arrived. Our order for the 4 of us consisted of Lamb Rogan Josh, Ultimate Burger, BBQ Burger and Grilled Chicken Burger. But what actually arrived was: Chicken Tikka Masala, Ultimate Burger, Grilled Chicken Burger and a burnt BBQ Burger containing no cheese and the salad in it was a only a piece of lettuce smaller than a 50 pence piece! At no time was we told/asked with regard to there being no lamb Rogan Josh or given the opportunity to order something different. The only reason we didn't send this back was: because we had already waited long enough and was hungry but also because my Husband is type 1 diabetic and insulin dependent and needed to eat something quickly! Shame on you Temeraire. I have to say the bar staff were very apologetic though as I ensured that I told them in a polite and well mannered way when I left of our experience...
