It's McDonald's. McDonalds has generally got worse. I dont mean their Cheeseburger is not as tasty as it ever was. Of course it is, the specials are better, the drinks are better, the Service is nearly perfect. BUT i have to explain to you that McDonald's is worse.
It has not improved and I mean it has not improved for the customer.
You can order a Cheeseburger but its cold in the middle.
You can order a flat white. But it is flat not like Costa in Vienna .
When I'm hung over I can order a double sausage and egg McMuffin but it no longer removes my guilt.
McDonalds hasnt improved, its not got better. The Name is all that keeps it alive. It's not cheap anymore, its still fairly quick, it still delivery roughly what you expect, but its 20 years behind.
How much longer will we accept it. MCDONALD'S Was Innovation. Is that what it stands for now? Is it cutting edge or is it someone elses problem.
McDonald's, Boots, Tescos, Sainsbury, kwik fit, Marks and Spencer, Persil, OXO, Colmands, Rowntrees and many more... You are our past and our future. Stand up and we will stand...
Read moreI've not been to a Maccy D in years. But the kids asked so I provided. It was possibly the most soul sapping dining experience I've had in years. Looking past the drab tired facia of Botley Road branch and the litter nudging up against the corners, you are greeted by staff who are polite but appear lost inside. Then come the ordering, walk up a screen and scroll through bland options for bland food. I used to enjoy a McDonalds, you strolled in and it was bright, food was different and staff were friendly. Now, its drab. No interaction just a bloody screen. The staff, look overworked and under appreciated just shuffling orders from the computer to the customer. My kids enjoyed their McDreary meals, but for me the whole experience was a reflection on what McDonald's has become. A huge beast that sucks resources from around it. Inhaling everything it sees and turning it in to profit. It's dead inside. So so many better...

I ordered from the machine, which was fine, I did table service so my boys could sit, about 5 minutes later a group of lads walked in, after ordering they sat 2 tables behind us, as I got up to show my eldest son where the loo was I turned round to see them throwing a box full of chips narrowly missing my youngest, I obviously wasn't leaving my little one alone but my eldest was now to scared to go alone because of the lads. While all this was happening I was bought over 1 lonely cheese burger on a tray, he refused to believe me when I told him I haven't ordered it, just kept telling me the numbers matched on the table number I had. After he finally 'belived' me I then got it delivered in my son's happy meal box...neither...
