College — Restaurant in Wakefield

Really poor service the Landlord likes to chat to other customers rather than serve the people waiting like a kind of power struggle (he’s in charge right?) Lots of red faced alcoholics that like to use the word beginning with C! Aimed directly at women I might add, but the Landord does and says nothing, because he’s being paid??? The food wasn’t very nice - overcooked veg, and the Yorkshire pudding was such a let down, it looked more like a pancake and tasted just as bad, such a shame used to a friendly place with really great food? Where’s Gilly when u need her? - Definitely better cook needed and some decent customer service...

I need to start by saying the food is absolutely beautiful. Im not even joking!! It is home cooked and the chef needs to be praised for his talent. You don't get food like that from anywhere in wakefield. Whilst on the food a steak on the menu would be great. This pub has been done out amazingly. It has taken away some of the old charm and cozy feel about it but does look and smell so much better. Staff are friendly and new to the pub industry which is apparent but...

Been a local here for the past couple of months new owners absolutely fantastic, great atmosphere. Was a local before the new ownership and they have continued to set the bar high. Very welcoming towards new customers and regulars. highly recommend coming here if you fancy a quite drink or a drink to socialise, they have a good energy and are very polite and respectful towards anyone who walks through the door so yeah in a nutshell it’s a great pub and a...
