Very good in the cafe. The staff are always really friendly and helpful, and I go in there to meet friends for coffee twice a week. The only reason for 3 * is that the equipment behind the counter is forever breaking down and could do to he upgraded to speed things up, in order for the staff and customers to have a better experience. In the rest of the store, the food hall is very good although Use By dates on products could be improved as could the stock levels, because it's very hit + miss as to whether you can get what you want, and more organisation is needed to make sure that stocking the shelves is done before the store opens and not when customers are trying to shop. As far as the women's fashion is concerned - the quality of the clothing is nowhere near as good as it used to be and the choice and range of clothes for those of us over 50yrs old - the core customers - is dire. The management at M&S HQ need to start getting their act together regarding it's customer base otherwise they will lose even more customers than they already are. A change in direction is long overdue as the idea of bringing younger fashion shoppers - those between 18 +25 yrs of age - just isn't working, because M&S can't compete with the likes of Zara, H&M and Next. I'm sorry to say that I haven't bought any clothing for well over a year- compared to purchasing a few core pieces each season. The staff are doing their utmost to help the few people who still shop in the women's fashion dept. but customers will continue to walk out of the stores if the clothes that they are looking to buy...

I went earlier today with my mum to do our food shop and I noticed one of the workers following us around in the shop with a sour look on her face. She then confronted my mum the third time she came near us and caused a scene. She got in my mums face accusing her of stealing as my mum was putting food in our reusable bag instead of directly onto the trolley as the majority of the contents of were fresh fruit and vegetables, hence being placed in the bag. We had passed by three workers who seemed to not have an issue but she did. It’s not the first time she has showed micro-aggression to my mum as she clearly singled us out. My mum got upset and told her why was she accusing her of stealing and she lied saying it was reported, when in fact she was just abusing her power to threaten us. I proceeded to walk away from the situation to the next isle because people began to by stand and I was getting anxious. The lady followed me to continue the argument until my mum had to tell her to go away. I don’t know her name but she said she was the manager. She had black hair and was around 47-57 and was wearing...
