Without a doubt Shurma is my favourite place to get a curry! I've sat in to eat or ordered takeaway from here at least 15 times this year. They have an incredible variety of delicious dishes, which I'm always excited to try a new flavour of each time I order. My particular favourite recently has to be the chicken Shurma Special Curry, an incredibly rich and creamy curry packed with flavour, but I'm also partial to the lamb Dansak and lamb Karahi. The staff are always so warmly welcoming and friendly, especially during the Christmas period, it really makes every visit a treat. Even when I order takeaway they get any special requests perfect and the delivery drivers are super polite (and quick!). If you've not given Shurma a try I strongly recommend them, you won't regret it! Best regular curry house I've had in easily 15 years

There were 5 of us rocked up at the Shurma Restaurant in Featherstone after a long day on the beer in Wakefield, no phone all in advance, no booking but open arms to welcome us anyway. Moyen and his colleagues are friendly and attentive & helpfully if you're unsure what to have. Our meals were all wonderful & flavoursome - leftovers were repackaged to take away. I judge places on their toilets (if they care about these places & their cleanliness then the rest can't be half bad) & these were spotless. Quiet night as it was midweek but we'll worth a visit.

Appalling quality of food. Bafflingly poor. We ordered king prawn woori, garlic naan, palak ahoo dahl, and mushroom pilau rice. The Woori: garlic, sliced, presumably with a breadknife dotted around 4 king prawns in a sea of oil. The Palak Dahl: spinach festering in a bath of misery. Flavourless, mushy, slop. The naan: soggy and bland The mushroom pilau: These mushrooms are not happy, and haven’t been for a long time. And neither are we. We should’ve stir fried our thirty quid and eaten it instead. Would not recommend

What a disgrace!! Decided to order a meal we regularly order from various Indians.. Chips werent cooked. Items missing. Rice cold. Naan looked like it had been soaked in water for 3 hours before it came.. Tastles and not worth the £30 and tip we gave the driver (not the drivers fault I know)

Phoned up originally to get my missing items but when I opened the meal - and saw it and tasted it it was bland and cold.

When I told the takeaway they had never heard such a review. A poor one was left last week.. Offered to send another meal free next time - they're wont be a next time.

Final result.. well you'll have to phone just eat cos theres nothing we can do about it.

What a disappointment from food...

Food good but service poor so rude, my children went in with a drink and we soon had a miserable waiter telling us "No you cannot have those drinks" WHAT!!!! young children are not going to cost ££££ by drinking x2 bottles. How daft ... we had a table of 15 people eating and all adults drinking from Shurma what's x2 drinks. Rude... with an attitude... wouldn't split the bill when we asked, we had lots of food left over so one adult asked for some containers they moaned when they finally got some they just chucked them with attitude on to the table. Never again !!! after going to...
