On entry we was told that we should have booked and that we was very lucky to be seated! because we had 6 of our residents from an elderly care home but whilst been here we’ve had the whole room to ourselves!! Amazing that when there so so busy! The guy who had taken our order was really rude has we wanted just the kids smaller portions has our residents only have a small appetite they was happy to do this until we said us has carers wasn’t eating he changed his mind and said no no I can’t do that we wouldn’t make any kind of profit so we’d no choice but to take the 3 course senior meal or leave which obviously we couldn’t get our residents back on our bus to then find somewhere else it was very disappointing has we was left to decide he went and we could clearly see he was telling another member of staff about the situation which is also very rude we will not be going back again

Mother's Day - Vert busy and very large crowd waiting for a table. Fortunately my party of 8 had pre-booked a table. When we arrived we navigated our way through the crowd and were seated within minutes. An excellent menu for OAP's at a great price £10. The menu for the rest of the party wasn't too pricey either. I am only giving the place four stars due to the waiter. One of my party had dietary restrictions which was made clear when we booked. The waiter didn't seem to have any knowledge of this and when told he still didn't seem too bothered. Part of the menu for those requiring gluten free had ran out and the waiter didn't feel the need to share this even though it seemed he was aware. Overall the food was great and the price was nice too. A very worthwhile and decent fish and derks (chips). Book in advance and check they cater to your dietary requirements first.

I've recently been here for a meal with my dad who is in his 90s and other family. Easy to find off Denby dale road opposite the tip. Easy and level car park and parking Level walking to the door. Friendly and efficient staff showing us to the table The food was delicious and excellent Portions were great and the price was very reasonable Loved the desert as well Especially mine. I love lots of custard 🍮 I follow Wetherby whaler on my Instagram account jafthegardener as it doesn't matter which venue I go to the quality is great. Definitely 5 stars from me and my family We really enjoyed it and will be back soon It was quite busy and this is a great indicator of how good it is ❤️❤️

My family and friends dined here today to celebrate a friends birthday. We are regular customers and have been visiting the restaurant for years. The standard of the fish and chips is always top drawer, but on this visit we were so surprised by the price increases. Its not cheap to eat fish and chips anymore and I understand they have increased in price at most places but looking around the restaurant today that is normally full on a Saturday some people may have agreed with us that this was too much of an increase. The restaurant was a only a quarter full and I think the real shocker came when the waitress who was lovely explained that we would now have to pay 30 pence per slice for any bread that we wanted with our meal. This was always previously included in the price and I really thought on top of an already stiff price hike this was a bridge too far. The young lady serving us explained that too many people were formerly leaving the bread but it was an option open to the customer for years and lets face it was costed into the price you paid. I think that although the fish and chips remain great this business has to be careful they don’t upset customers. People will normally understand if there are legitimate reasons to increase prices but lets not take advantage by trying to add some more profit to a slice of bread. Its the principle and we all agreed that its a bad...

This review is about the click and collect farce not the fish and chips which were fine, not excellent but nice enough. The service is friendly and efficient apart from the fact that despite having signs saying the end of the counter is for click and collect to wait and be served, the staff are handing over counter orders at the end of the counter instead of the part for walk in customers. For the last two times I have been standing unseen behind people waiting for food they have just ordered even though they are waiting in the click and collect section and I couldn't believe it when the assistant handed the food to them in the click and collect section and then proceeded to begin to serve another person waiting in the correct line for counter orders before finally deciding to ask if I had ordered online. I know I sound uppetty but the whole point is to order and pay before you get there to save time I am fed up of having to ask other customers if they are click and collect to be told off handedly that no they are just waiting for their order. If you are going to have signs stating where customers should wait it would help if you stopped handing over counter orders in the click and...
