What a cheek, very rude staff, very rude owner, my 6 year old granddaughter needed the toilet, we ordered food and asked were are the toilets. The reply due to covid they are closed. UK law states cafes/resturants with more than 12 seats must have a toilet for their customers to use when open. My daughter was directed with my granddaughter to an outside public toilet which was closed. This was brought to the attention of the staff who just shrugged their shoulders and stated it was the bosses decision. One of our meals was wrong and the server threw the menu down on the table when shown, her reply was disgusting and rude. I requested a refund for that meal and got no apology just the refund. On leaving another customer with a small boy requested the toilet and the reply was come to the back door and we will open for you. This was challenged with the owner and she let RIP, shouting it was a small boy who was desperate, so was my granddaughter, she shouted that she had been working since 7am. Remember it's the customer who pays the wages, it is also to trade within the law instead of embarrassing yourself. A simple smile and cooperation would have gone a long way to prevent this. You are happy taking money for food and drink but not offer facilities. There are many more eating establishments...
Read moreCompliments to the chef.. Lee! Absolutely amazing food. Atmosphere is second to non when you go here. We visit every day when we are in Barmouth. There's no other better place to eat out or grab a take out when in barmouth. I highly recommend this place. All the staff are amazing and the 3 dishes I recommend are the fullard breakfast/bekkies breakfast and the curry, chips and rice and special of the day, chicken, ham amd leek pie/steak pie with chips, peas/beans and gravy... Top Notch food at this place either way but they're worth the visit to Barmouth alone. Kids love the chicken nuggets. Top quality. very clean establishment, Very friendly staff. Great quality produce. Very fair prices. A must place to visit to eat whilst in Barmouth. We'll be back soon enough making an order. No toilets on site but there are some located just passed the train station. Kids, families and dog friendly too! Limited parking available out front roadside of the cafe but they go quickly, there's plenty of parking available on the pay and display car parks near...
Read moreNice little cafe, very old looking deco, reminded me of the kind of greasy spoon that my mum or nan might've taken me to about 30 years ago. The food was better though. I spent £8 on Bekkie's Breakfast. Solid breakfast with decent eggs, hash brown, a large rasher of quality bacon, and fried bread that is a lot better quality than the heart attack fodder that you'd get at, say, Morrisons. Only downside is the sausage seemed low quality. Other big downer for me is that the only drink on offer is tea or latte so I knew I wasn't going to get a decent strong coffee, opted for the tea and it was about half milk, which I was half expecting. Wouldn't surprise me if it was released from a vat with the milk already in in proper greasy spoon style. I would knock another point off for the lacklustre beverages but I know most people like it like that so I left it. Kids and wife all enjoyed their meals, good selection for the children.
Shame there was no Moloko Plus but I guess you can't...
