Cadwaladers — Restaurant in Wales

My husband and I have been going to Cadwaladers for 19yrs since we were married, always fabulous. Today 22nd we went for our anniversary our hot white chocolate was a let down more like hot milk. No Coconut Milk either which they have always had before. Not sure we will go again big disappointment. Didn't Make a fuss as just not up to it. Shame how the times destroy a good thing. Milk on offer one was oat milk please note not good for diabetics

Warm Sunday in Betws-y-Coed and we decided to have an ice cream. The A-Board outside promised healthy dollops of delicious-looking ice cream so we were sold straight away. Two girls served behind the counter. There was only one other couple ahead of us in the queue so we got served reasonably quickly. The reason for the low score is that we were charged £4 each for a 2-scoop tub. See below for a picture which actually looks better than it did in reality as the ‘scoops’ were not solid balls of ice cream but hollow in the middle! The ice cream was very nice, but the girl barely scraped the scoop across the top of the ice cream and dumped it into the tub. Perhaps she has a weakness of the wrist - who knows? The result was two ‘curls’ of ice cream rather than the generous scoops offered by other establishments and as shown in their own advertising poster. We could see more of the bottom of the tub than we could ice cream! ...

Visited the store many times over the years but today was the most awful experiance I've evey had. The sign clearly said bogof on all sundaes. But be aware as this is not true. When we asked why we had been charged for all at full price and promo had not been applied the guy in the shop was very rude and pointed out they had to be the identical one to get the bogof promo. Which may I add was not anywhere on the shop hand writen sign also when I'd asked the girl when placing order she said we could have any as a bogof. But we did notice after we left the guy was changing the signs. But we do have evidence of the before sign. So buyers be aware all is not as it seems.
