Called in for tea and cake. On entering, there was a really lovely smell of coffee and food. The seating area was busy but lots of tables of 4 or 6 seats with just one customer per set up. My first thought was smaller tables with less seats might have been better. But this is more of an observation, not a complaint. Anyway, decided on my drink etc and went off to get a table for 2. Not many there but found one with used items on. There were used items on a few tables. I moved the items to another area. Husband comes over with our goodies, but I have an incorrect item. I go to change it. 2 staff behind counter, both making drinks so I wait a disproportionate amount of time to be able to get my correct choice (my hot drink is getting cold). However when I did tell the counter lady, she rectified the mistake instantly. Back I go, and we both enjoyed what we had. Used tray had still not been collected. So bathroom time arrived, before we left. I so wished I didn't need that bathroom ! 😩. As I sat, I could see filth and grime everywhere. All around the hand dryer and immediate surroundings was soap scum and water drippings from where the electric dryer blasts your cleanly washed hands. The grout at the sink was brown, splitting and grimy. The tap ... oh dear lord ... filthy ! Soap scum all over it ! The soap came out of a normal manual dispenser, people's hands all over it ! Should be a no touch in a public bathroom surely? 🤮. The dust bin lid had a visible layer of dust ... obvs had not been cleaned in days. The floor was wet with a few small puddles, although I don't think it was urine. Toilet paper littered the floor, but I do accept this can and does happen even with regular cleaning. Reading this, you might think I must have been in the bathroom for ages, scrutinising the whole place. Belive me, I wasn't ! I only went for a quick, post drink pee and hand wash. What I saw in my immediate view while on my brief visit. The whole area needs immediate attention, it's awful in there. The only positive is that the bathroom did not smell of other people's...
Read moreI popped into cafe nero Carmarthen today 24th Aug at approximate 1145hrs for a quick coffee before heading home. When I asked a employee (girl) Sam for a americano. She didn't ask me for a small or large cup. So I said can I have a large please. She asked if I wanted milk I said yes but she started pouring semi skimmed in and I asked for skimmed milk. At that point her attitude was disgusting. She threw the milk container into the sink side and smashed all over the place, the people in the queue were shocked on how she was towards me throughout the service. Not once she said thank you or smiled. I will not be going back in their in a while until something is said to the employee. I live in carmarthen and I always pop in their for a brew. And I've never had any issues but this was...
Read moreExtremely Slow to serve. I waited for 14 mins in a queue to be served for a flat white. There were only 3 people in front of me. I work in the same line of business and I can honestly say your staff need more training. One person came back and forth to ask the lady three questions about her two toasties before even opening the packet. Then another went looking for their customer to give them a cake when the queue behind me was to the door. The gentleman waiting for the cake told him he will be back to get it. Honestly I was very surprised. I don’t write many reviews unless it’s good as I find people complain too much. But something needs to be said for you to get more training done for your staff members as it’s not fair on customers or the staff with customers...
