Conti's Cafe — Restaurant in Wales

Although staying a 25 minute drive away from the location of Conti’s Cafe, we chose to make the journey and sample the coffee which had been personally recommended to us, and after reading the positive reviews.

Before making the journey, we checked the official website, Google and Facebook for the opening hours to ensure it would not be a wasted journey.

You can imagine the frustration upon arriving to see that the cafe was closed! This was despite the displayed hours showing that the cafe should be open. There was a sign on the door explaining that takeaway coffee was available, even though the shop looked closed. I rang the Ring doorbell to ensure I wasn’t missing anything, yet there was still no answer.

I do not like to leave negative reviews for businesses, but on this occasion the disappointment and frustration felt by my family has meant that I had to make the business and other potential customers aware so that it may save wasted time and effort in making a special journey to visit...

What a great little cafe! We spent the weekend in and around Lampeter and actually sampled the food and hospitality at both the cafes run by the team from Conti's. The food is amazing with some highlights being their sausage rolls and freshly baked scones. Its not just great food though as the staff are also a real credit to the cafe, so please pass our thanks on to them. Very polite and professional with smiles on faces the whole time. As for their ice cream, look no further than Conti's. I don't know what their secret is but more people need to know about it. Two pancakes arrived instead of three. They were raw with a blob of nuttella on top, they looked terrible. We politely asked for some that were cooked and got the same two returned, burnt on one side and with the nuttella now melted on the top. The menu also stated three pancakes, not two. They are expensive for very small pancakes anyway but to be given just two is really cheeky. We also had two breakfast rolls.
