Went yesterday for a family meal. We precooked a party of10 adults 1 baby 2 couldn't do so it was 8 and a baby.

We arrived noticed the restaurant was completely empty considering it was on sat.

We went to order drinks to order drinks before the others arrived.

2.2anted oatmilk coffee due to allergies, thay didn't have any iatmilk, another ordered coke zero they didn't have it.

So straight away I realised they didn't have basics. We went to order a meal and starters we couldn't have some as they didn't have in stock. This being prime time on a sat. We had further issues.

I had garlic bread it was dripping in oil, the kebab was similar. I had sea bass portion was extremely small not cooked right. The start off drinks took 45 mins.

So I have never been here asego, but went many times when harvester and Toby.

The ego looked different to past which was night but the service meal not good. Spent about 155.00 i felt we didnt get what we paid for No one asked how the meals were I , as i would have to wait another 45 mins. So being the largest party, that daywouldnt be good if I said about the sea bass we woulvid have been there for 3 possibly 4 hours. Far too l not haong.

The quality, delays, and not having the basic ruined the meals..

I did mention about the quality and service, the staff didn't offer or ask how they could make it bett ask for a reduction or offer a couple a free meal next time.

There were only a few customers in the restaurant during the 4 hr was always crowded.s we were there. Harvesters, toby, it Was always full and you had to precooked in advance.

This is my view points...

Dec23 update - now on my 5th visit as it is a social group favourite. Large party of 22. We were seated in a seperate back section which was spacious but got cold quickly. Staff were excellent and provided good service despite being very busy. My issue was the same this time as on every one if the last 4 visits …. My meal was barely lukewarm (a number of theirs in the group said the same). I returned mine as pretty fed up with it happening. Issue was courteously sorted and came back hotter. Ignoring the temperature issue the food was good quality, decent portion & delicious. EGO - PLEASE ENSURE YOUR FOOD COMES TO TABLE HOT. 🙏 Dec18 - Went here after reading all the good reviews. Whilst there is potential to be top notch, sadly we came away disappointed due to the food. They have done a great job on the re-fit so now has an upmarket feel and comfortable ambience. Staff provided a warm and friendly welcome. Our waitress (wish I knew her name) was an absolute delight. The prawn starter was very disappointing, unspectacular quality prawns served in what looked like dirty dishwater, so very unappetising. My main was delicious but really needed to come to table hot not lukewarm. My partner found his main (belly pork) fatty .... I know it is a fatty meat but Marco Pierre White serve a far leaner version and remove the top layer before serving. Pudding was very tasty but more like a rich sponge than...

Wife and I booked a table on Friday night and were seated at 8pm. Main course finally arrived at 9.30pm, by which point we were sitting in a mostly empty restaurant. When we chased to find out where our mains were, the waitress responded that ‘the kebabs always take a long time to make’ as if that was obvious and I should have been prepared to wait well over and hour for my food. My fault for ordering the wrong thing off their menu I suppose!

We were also told that it probably just felt like a long wait because the tables around us were empty. I didn’t follow this logic. The tables around us were empty because all the other diners in that part of the restaurant had been served and eaten their meals and gone home by the time ours arrived.

The supervisor did take two drinks off our bill, to her credit, and did acknowledge it was not acceptable. However, our original server just didn’t seem to want to own the problem and admit there had been a mistake - this is frustrating for a hungry diner who just wants to know what is happening with their food.

Food was actually really nice when it arrived and they get great credit for having a full gluten free menu, which you don’t see often. It’s just a shame that when the main finally arrived our enjoyment of the food was secondary to relief that we could finally eat something. I’m afraid to say this ruined...

Had lunch here 12/10/24 and compared to our last visit two years ago the food and service was disappointing; the two younger ladies were perhaps lacking in humour, one knocking over a bottle of beer which fortunately had little left in it, perhaps it had been a busy day for them. Regarding the food, the Iberian style pork I had two years ago was exceptional; but it was not on the menu today. The Moroccan lamb I chose was pleasant but not in the same class. My wife’s vegetarian pizza had a tasty base but the topping was also uninspiring. We were asked when being served if we would like any sauces to go with the meals; when we enquired of some balsamic glaze for the pizza (a fairly common accompaniment for pizza) we were told they didn’t do it. However, the venue is very nice indeed and the deco tastefully done and is kept well. It is also good that they have a section where you can dine accompanied by your pets. Will I rush back? Probably not for a while. But, it may have just been an off day for them, which happens at any establishment now and again.

Where to start, the transformation during the refit has been superb the new decor and atmosphere is superb and very welcoming. Covid precautions are in place and cleaning is continually going on to keep everyone safe....thank you for that. The choice on the menu allowed a good choice for varying tastes and the food was superb. The 2 for 1 cocktails were amazing, full strength and not expensive either......we tried a few just to be sure. All together an enjoyable afternoon sampling a few dishes and cocktails that didn't break the bank. Sign up on their website for some discount vouchers.......and ring to book, word travels fast and its often fully booked. Thanks to all the staff, especially Chloe who mixed the cocktails.

Amazing atmosphere lovely and cosy the music wasn't too loud like in most restaurants so was nice to have a conversation and actually relax. The food was grate very tasty portions where nice. Cocktails where out of this world delicious will definitely be going back for a cocktail evening. The staff are lovely didn't come up to the table every 5 min tbh I love because there's nothing worse than having a mouthful of food and somone asked how's the food ha ha. Very friendly genuinely nice staff gave grate advise on what to order. Went online and signed up to the ego club and got 20% off the bill. Brilliant first impressions will definitely be telling my fiends and family about this place. Thank you!
