Awful place wouldn't return. Menu items not available and verbally told of mismatch menu changes when ordering. Blue plastic in food, chips over done and inedible. Cold bagel was unappetising but calzone okay and hot. Food very overpriced, bap/bagel about £7.90 and Calzone £14.90. Staff didn't see to care but not rude. Other cafes were shut in village, one place did coffee only and other pubs that served food did main meals. Walked in and picked up menu welcomed by female member of staff who said if we wanted to sit outside we could only sit one side due to building next door having work done to fix collapsed roof. We sat inside as it was chilly outside. Could hear and see builders chucking things of roof producing small clouds of dust so glad we didn't sit out. Sorbet smoothies were good. I wanted a bap but had to have a bagel with the bap filling as they didn't have baps. Came cold and chips overcooked to point there was hardly any potato content to them. My partner asked for ketchup which we never got the same female member of staff throughout this encounter also served us was seen cleaning cutlery and talking with her colleagues. Luckily my partner saw a piece of blue plastic on the outside of the bagel, before I'd taken a bite. I took the plate up to the counter and pointed it out, same female member of staff took plate and asked me where it had come from, I said I didn't know. She said they would make a fresh one and I apologise. I hate complaining and felt bad for returning the plate. A new plate came to the table a couple minutes later with the exact same chips in the pot, which had gone lukewarm, and knocked my confidence that they had made a new bagel in the short amount of time, I throughly checked for plastic and none was found this time. The picture showed how much I ended up eating, the experience on how this was handled put me off my food and it didn't taste great as for me there was too much caramalised onion jam which was overpowering. Having paid at the beginning when we ordered we didn't get a refund or discount on my meal, none was offered. I hate confrontation and I hate confrontation it makes me feel awful plus I didn't want to be a Karen so didn't make a big fuss or ask. When we left male member of staff and same female member of staff were joking around and he made a comment about clearing tables. She asked if we were off and we left. As we walked past on pavement where we were sat our plates had already been cleared. It felt rushed and uncaring, staff didn't check in with table to see how meal was going. No apologies about the plastic in food, this situation could've been handled so much better. Very disappointed, it ruined our time in such a...

Read moreOkay, I don't really write reviews, but on this occasion I have been driven to because you let me down. You may think the review is unfair - but this is my experience as a potential customer. I wish I had the opportunity to eat a pizza. I'm sure it could have been as delicious as the ice cream, but as you are about to find out I was not even given the option.
Before embarking on a journey back from Anglesey, I read you closed at 8.30pm (as per your website) - so I made sure to be back well in time. I got to the campsite (Cae Du) and tried to order online before 8, but on the last screen it just hung. I thought "well they aren't far away, surely I can just turn up and order to take away". I got there just after 8 and was told they were "no longer serving".
The pizzas looked great with a Welsh twist - great idea, but I never even got a chance to try one. I have never heard of a pizzeria stopping service at 8pm until now. I was left hungry and bitterly disappointed.
If you do respond to this please don't just copy and paste a standard reply:
"We’re very sorry we were unable to accommodate you NAME but we do feel your review is unfair. August is our busiest time of year..."
As I am already aware of this response. Also, if you modify opening times due to heat, then you should say this is the case upfront on your opening times & website. I suspect the pizza would...
