A much appreciated addition to Whitchurch. Love the wine 'vending machine' option as it allows you to try a variety of wines - a cabinet each for red, white and rose The cheese is excellent and they are generous with the breads and crackers and chutney and jam. Relaxing ambience, friendly enthusiastic staff and a clean, unfussy, understated decor. Well well worth a visit either as the main event or for a drink pre/post one of the eateries in the village. Santiagos, Sopra etc.

Check out our full visit by heading over to @CardiffLoveList on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok 📲 Have visited here a few times for their Charcuterie and Fondue Night in the winter. We recently stopped by for their 4ft Charcuterie and WOW. Such a great concept with a great range of cheeses, fruits, meats and more. Gorgeous selection of wines handpicked from around the world and love the self-service option. Can’t wait to go back for Fondue night this winter!

This cosy and brilliant wine bar with self-service dispensers (the dream!) deserves every plaudit. Food (tostas with a spreadable pâté, Raclette) as well as the wine and warm, sincere hospitality completely on point. The range of bottles on offer is distinctive. Flock here and return often—little independents like this need all our help to survive. Happy new year, make sure we raise a glass to their success.

Great concept however poorly executed! One card given for a table of 4 to all use to purchase wine throughout the evening but we were informed that the bill could then be spilt at the end. However when it came to splitting the bill we were informed that as the establishment is paperless they would not be able to print a bill but we were welcome to take a picture from the screen. Trying to then work out which wine purchases corresponded to each person was quite challenging especially as the bottles constantly kept running out throughout the evening so the measurements were quite sporadic and who on earth would remember the exact names of each individual wine that they had sampled! We ordered 2 cheese boards to go along side our wine however we waited over an hour for them to arrive and it wasn’t until prompted did they finally make an appearance! We were told sorry but it’s a Saturday night and there’s only one chef on - it’s cheese, it doesn’t require cooking and there were only a handful of tables occupied. Our order had clearly been forgotten! When it did finally did arrive it was so disappointing too - £21 for a cheese board for 2 - picture attached to convey our disappointment. The bill for the cheeseboard was brought over at the end of the night - a paper bill - even though the establishment is paperless. Overall a great looking place with the quirkiness of being able to pour your own wine. With cheese available to accompany your selections - when it finally arrives! But poorly implemented! No bill available at your table, no way to keep track of individual purchases, unless you take along a pen and paper yourself! Poor portion sizes when it comes to the cheese boards and a lack of attentiveness from staff - no one keeping check of when bottles were running low/had ran out. Forgotten food orders and the servers pretty much glued to the “bar” for the night ( I’m not even sure why there is a bar? ) which resulting in the customers doing all the...

I decided to book here for my Friends birthday at the beginning of the month as there was a bigger group of us, so wanted to stay somewhere local rather than go to town. They let us go a little before the table booking and decorate the table with some flowers and lights which was appreciated because made it that bit more special for her. When everyone had settled in we were explained how everything worked with individual cards - which is a great idea if there's a big group and saves on the dreaded bill working out and splitting which always comes at the end! We had the table booked for 2 hours but didn't feel rushed at all, and had warning to get our final glasses in! Fergus was knowledgeable and polite without being overbearing. The cheese and meat boards were great, and nicely presented. Will be back soon for a couples night I think, still lots more...

Fantastic! So lucky to have this in our doorstep! The staff are always so friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable! We love the concept! - it’s great fun for a group!

They change their cheese board options regularly (weekly?) and it’s great fun to try different things and the quality/presentation is always great! I also think it’s excellent value for money. They often offer cheeses you wouldn’t find at Sainsburys cheese counter ….

The wines change regularly and are always excellent with very accurate descriptions! Very well priced too!

They are extremely accommodating of allergies (nut in our case) and we really felt cared for and that the staff took this very seriously whilst also being accommodating!

A great...
