What a gem in Crickhowell! My partner and I saw Halo on our walk to Sugar Loaf and thought we should try. We visited on the next day for lunch and Halo did not disappoint. In fact, we were blown away by delicious, hearty food! Both of us had Halo buddha bowl. They came in generous portion and all components were full of flavours! I loved turtle beans and cajun spiced sweet potatoes - roasted to perfection almost caramelised!! I added extra cajun chicken which was juicy and tasty. My partner had an oat flat white which was lovely. I had an iced americano - I think it tasted a bit weak for my preference. The cafe is tucked away from the high street, located at the further back of a new-ish business/shopping centre/courtyard. It's not easy to spot but you get the pleasure to sit in peace and enjoyed a lovely view (on a sunny day). The seating indoor looks great too. Nice, clean toilet with baby changing station. We had a really lovely time. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous, gorgeous cafe that deserves to be better known by locals and visitors. They have a lovely food menu for meat lovers, veggies and vegans alike, the bar brith is to die for and the coffee is from a local roastery. They also serve alcohol and have various themed food nights throughout the year. More broadly, it's just a very nice place to enjoy an hour or two. A really warm welcome and everything was just great. We went three times in our brief visit to Crickhowell.

Had breakfast here as the weather was good and we could sit outside in a lovely sheltered courtyard. We had a bacon, egg and avo bagel with bacon from Cashell Butchers in the High Street. The cafe also has indoor seating in an attractive converted farm building. Very friendly service and the bagel was perfect with delicious bacon and a firm egg as requested. Worth seeking out as just off the High Street in Crickhowell

Halo Cafe in Crickhowell is a true delight, a culinary gem that I had the pleasure of visiting recently. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the lovely staff whose friendliness added a special touch to the cozy atmosphere. But the real star of the show was what came to my table: the pancakes with maple syrup.

It’s not only the food that makes Halo Cafe stand out; it’s the people that bring it to life. The staff were incredibly hospitable, making me feel welcome and attended to throughout my visit.

I left Halo Cafe with a full belly and a warm heart, already anticipating my next visit. For anyone in or around Crickhowell, do yourself a favour and drop by Halo Cafe. Whether it’s for their exceptional pancakes or the friendly faces, you won't be...

Called in for lunch yesterday. It was raining and we had our dog with us and we expected to be turned away. They were really kind and let Daisy in. I’m so glad they did because we had such a fantastic lunch (Buddha bowls and smoothies). The staff were very attentive and their happiness was infectious. We left feeling really happy ourselves.

July 2025. Back again! This time we were able to sit outside with our two dogs. The food, service and atmosphere were as good as ever, and the dogs enjoyed their...
