Hare & Hounds Bakery — Restaurant in Wales

This lovely little bakery cum café located behind the high street in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan town of Cowbridge serves a menu of entirely home-made produce. The usual high standards of the Hare and Hounds restaurant in Aberthin can be expected and are delivered. The smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel is outstanding as is the rare roast beef and horseradish sandwich which is served on delicious, home-made toasted sourdough bread. Great coffee too. They even make their own hot chocolate! 😀 Highly recommended!

I had a breakfast with coffee. Food v good, but they need to up their game with service and atmosphere. It was pretty empty, but tables slow to be cleared. Dreadful background music which made me want to leave. Something more ambient for this location (eg gentle folk music) would be more generally pleasing to most customers, not the brash busy stuff that perhaps was chosen to suit what the staff liked. Lovely bakery! Stopped here for coffee and a little something to way with my husband. I had the Cumberland sausage breakfast roll and it was delicious, I could have eaten another.
