I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Harvester pub in Swansea, located near the Liberty Stadium, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The first thing that struck me was the warm and friendly atmosphere created by the staff. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome.
The food at The Harvester was truly excellent. While it may have been a little on the pricey side, the quality and taste of the dishes more than made up for it. I was impressed by the wide variety of options available on the menu, catering to different tastes and dietary preferences. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of the food was evident, and each dish was a feast for the senses.
One of the highlights of my visit was the well-stocked salad bar. It was a refreshing change to have such a wide selection of fresh, crisp vegetables and toppings to choose from. The ingredients were of high quality, and it was evident that great care was taken to ensure the salad bar was kept clean and well-maintained.
As for the drinks, The Harvester certainly didn't disappoint. The bar boasted a diverse range of alcohol selections, catering to all tastes. Whether you're a beer enthusiast, a wine connoisseur, or prefer a crafted cocktail, you'll find something to suit your palate. The bar staff were knowledgeable and helpful in recommending suitable pairings, adding to the overall experience.
I must also commend the cleanliness and upkeep of the establishment. The Harvester was immaculate, and it was clear that the management takes great pride in maintaining a clean and inviting environment. The attention to detail in this regard certainly did not go unnoticed and contributed to the overall positive experience.
In summary, my visit to The Harvester in Swansea near the Liberty Stadium was a memorable one. The food was delicious, albeit a little pricey, but the quality and taste made it worthwhile. The friendly staff and the cleanliness of the pub added to the overall positive experience. I would highly recommend The Harvester to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience with a great selection of...
Read moreWent here on a Sunday evening recently. Ordered the 3 tapas starter: Nachos, wings and garlic bread. The waitress came back and told us they'd run out of nachos so I would have to go without or choose something else. I chose to get the goujons instead. The food turned up hot and fresh tasting. I then went on to order my main.
My partner ordered the half rotisserie chicken with a side and I wanted to order the 1983 rotisserie chicken and rib combo (half a rotisserie chicken and half a rack of ribs). I was told I couldn't have the half rotisserie chicken because of the way they portion it. They had enough halfs to give me one but for some reason the kitchen could only give me a quarter rotisserie chicken and a chicken breast instead which is cooked differently. I reluctantly agreed because I didn't want anything else but I found the whole scenario really strange and disappointing. The food arrived hot and fresh and table service was good.
I then went on to order desserts- I wanted the Cookie Chaos waffle and I was told that they didn't have any chocolate chip cookies left. All of the toppings were available aside from the cookies. A bit ridiculous if you ask me. I wasn't offered any alternatives and I also wasn't offered any discounts for the inconveniences which is the least I thought they could do.
The bathrooms were also crawling with flies, I must have counted at least 4 or 5 on the walls. Absolutely disgusting. There was flies around our table too which I think came from the bathroom, honestly it was annoying and kind of offputting.
Overall the meal was decent but I found the amount of issues I ran into with ordering was sub-par and a bit ridiculous. I understand restaurants run out of stock but in my experience it's not unusual for the customer to be offered something...
Read moreWe arrived at the Morfa Harvester in Swansea at about 10.30, and we're seated immediately. Skye was extremely pleasant and after seating us asked what we'd like to drink. Having a dietary issue with milk I asked if there was a possibility of oat milk, and whereas usually I'm told no, or that it will cost extra, Skye told me that it wouldn't be a problem. She arrived back promptly with our coffees and took our breakfast orders - a classic breakfast, and a vegan breakfast, and we were asked what bread we'd like for our toast. (She also told us she'd be back with our bowls for the salad, promptly realising it was breakfast we'd ordered - we all had a little chuckle at that! đ€đ )
In almost no time our breakfasts arrived and we tucked in. Very tasty, beans came in a little bowl, always appreciated as it stops the food being soggy. Both eggs - fried and poached - were cooked well with no sign of being even a little undercooked as I have found in other establishments, hash browns were not so crispy that they did a "Pretty Woman snail moment (flying across the restaurant because they are overcooked), both lots of sausages, standard and vegan were lovely, and the vegetable fingers on the vegan breakfast is a nice addition. Kudos to Dai - who was the chef. Refills of our coffees were readily offered, and accepted as the coffee really was very nice
All in all a very enjoyable morning of food, and we were not made to feel rushed in any way. Would definitely go again đđ» Cheers to Skye & Dai!
P.S Sorry I'm not one for taking photos of my food, never really enters my head as I'm normally too hungry to not...
