KFC Aberdare - Tirfounders Fields — Restaurant in Wales

Don't know what to say really. Went there about a month after the nationwide, no chicken fiasco and I tried to order a Zinger Tower box meal. There was no hash brown, no Zinger sauce, no wings, so lettuce and the only drink was diet Pepsi... I thought I might as well try my luck for some bites since they were being advertised on the order screen and was told, we don't do them anymore, we're waiting for head office to take them off the screen. When I asked what they did have I was told all our burgers are coming with mayo, so I thought, yeah, why not. The burger wasn't hot and the bun smelled stale. I guess other people had got wind of what was going on and they weren't turning over their stock. I couldn't see any people eating inside and I was the only car going through the drive through. Think I'll stick to Merthyr if I ever fancy...

This was our first visit to a KFC for over 20 years, prompted by our grandsons choice. Overall, the food itself was of poor quality and everything (chicken, chips, and beans) tasted of smoke (or maybe bbq??) We wanted food for 3, but the family buckets were with 4 chips, so we asked what the option was and were told we could "swap" the fourth chips. We said we didn't want to swap and only wanted chicken with chips anyway. Apparently, there was no way to do this, so in the end, we ordered the family 8 piece fillet bucket. Then, what drink? A LARGE coke or a SMALL water !! Then what 4 sides? Two corn and 2 beans, please. Sorry, beans are large, so you only get one! On arriving home, we find the poor quality food, but with 5 chips, not 4, and no popcorn chicken! Certainly, it has put us off ever...

I ordered 2 meals from this restaurant for a 6.45 delivery and by 8.30 it hadn’t arrived. I phoned the restaurant at 7.15 and again at 7.30 when I spoke to a manager who told me that because the meals had left the restaurant it ceased to be their responsibility. She also told me that they have no way to contact the delivery driver as they don’t know who it was. I find this difficult to believe. I’ve contacted just eat who were most helpful, even if they couldn’t get my meals delivered. This is the first time we’ve used KFC Aberdare and will be most definitely the last. The next step I’ll be doing is contacting KFC head office. Be warned...
