We visited Lot11 Café for Saturday brunch and were seriously impressed. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. We had the poached eggs on toast and avocado on toast, both incredibly fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was buzzing, busy but still relaxed, and the service was fantastic throughout. The staff were attentive and friendly, with waitresses serving everything with a smile. Service was quick too, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area and looking for a great brunch spot!

Arrived with my mother and was immediately acknowledged by staff and shown to a table, ordered 2 decaf tea and they were served in very pretty glasses on a wooden tray with a little jug of milk. I ordered a ham and cheese gluten free toastie and my mother ordered a bacon butty, both were very well presented with side salads and the taste was so good we ended up ordering another 2 bacon butties 😂 Absolutely lovely and friendly staff, quick service and great tasting food. We will be returning every time we come to Wrexham!

WARNING If you have food allergies do not order from this place. Put in a order for 1 standard afternoon tea and one for someone who is both gluten and lactose intolerant, they send 1 gluten free afternoon tea and 1 vegan afternoon tea. When we called to discuss the error we were told the Gluten free one would also be lactose free, we believed them assuming they wouldn't make a mistake with something that could make someone really ill. First sandwich we checked was cheese and relish, thankfully I tested it and knew that it wasn't vegan cheese, so rung back and checked going through each item only to find that the gluten free order wasn't in fact lactose free and would have made my partner extremely Ill. What should been a nice lock in treat was totally ruined and could have resulted in her being very ill. Avoid

Response to Lot 11's response:

  1. It was clear from the start that whoever took the order took it wrong as it should have been 8 standard and 1 gluten/lactose free. you sent 7 standard, 1 gluten free and 1 Vegan. This alone would justify the refund as the minimum expected response.
  2. We spotted this straight away when we went to pick them up from the house, subsequently the person who placed the order called you and was told that the Vegan 1 was also gluten free and would be suitable for someone with a gluten and lactose intolerance. This is in fact not the case and would have made her really ill.
  3. Upon getting home I checked the meals and knew that it was certainly not gluten free bread, especially as the bread in the gluten free meal was different so I called you to confirm this, at which point I was told the vegan one would not be suitable for GF. I then explained that neither meal would subsequently be suitable for someone with both allergies, to which the person I was speaking to said that the gluten free one would be fine for someone who is both lactose and gluten free as the butter they use is made from rapeseed oil. At this point I didn't believe anything your company said and questioned how a cheese sandwich in the gluten free box would be suitable for someone who couldn't have lactose. The person I spoke to then said she needed to check with the manager! when she came back she confirmed it would not be suitable. SO ON TWO SEPARATE OCCASIONS your staff told us information that would have made my partner very ill, can you imagine if this was someone who was seriously intolerant to these things, you could have killed them. I said this to the person I spoke to and she apologised repeatedly, funny though I didn't see that in your response.
  4. Pride usually comes before a fall, maybe care and attention to each order would be a better plan. 5)A minor point but calling it "normal" infers that anyone with an intolerance is not "normal".

As you can tell from my initial review I was extremely upset by lot 11, despite this I had felt they had taken the incident on board, however given that their response seems to have completely ignored the major issue and they seem to think the fact they sent a refund absolves them I guess this wasn't the case. Subsequently this will now be referred to food...

My first visit. Who knew this place existed ?

Brunch certainly was served today and it was flawless. Someone's forearms would be bery tired or very fir because tue hollandsise which was perfect amd the exact amount required to make a perfect eggs benedict along with delicious waffles and pancakes enjoyed by discerning teenagers. Generous freshly squeezed orange. I must highlight the perfect poached eggs. This was all topped off with coffees that csn not be found snywhere else in the area. Superb place and lovely lovely staff. The cost was a gift such good value for money. I will only drink coffee and eat brunch here from now on there is nothing anywhere near as good to be found for miles. THANK YOU LOTT 11 for being there when I...

Beautiful place. Very clean and the decor is lovely. The food however was quite disappointing for the price. I ordered the eggs florentine. The sauce was lovely, but the eggs were a let down. One was massively overcooked and dry. The other was hard boiled yolk but snotty white. My partner had the breakfast, the mushrooms tasted like they had just come out of the ground and were unwashed. They were also very watery. The black pudding was practically raw and the egg was basically just a yolk with a thin film of white round it. It was bizarre. The milkshakes we ordered were lovely and the staff were very friendly however and I would go back and try again. Though I'd maybe have a...
