McDonald's — Restaurant in Wales

My friends and I got stranded in the middle of nowhere out in nature because our car broke down and we had to hike for hours to get back to civilization as there was no signal to call for help! We hadn't eaten since early morning and were absolutely starving at 11pm at night when we finally found somewhere to stay at a hotel next to this McDonald's. I walked in a few minutes past closing time without realising whilst my friends were getting settled at the hotel nearby. I ran over to grab us some food but was told upon entering that they were closing so I wouldn't be able to order any food. I was ready to cry after the nightmare of a day my friends and I just experienced... I totally understood I was past closing time and asked if there was anywhere else nearby to get any food. I was told it was unlikely at this hour. Out of desperation I explained the situation my friends and I had just experienced and bless her heart, the lady manager took pity on me and allowed me to order whatever food was left. Chicken selects and fries and fruit bags. It was more than enough and I was so grateful to be able to order any kind of food. I only ordered 9 chicken selects but she put an extra 3 in for us which was so kind and greatly appreciated! She was generous with the ketchup too. It was just what we needed after a stressful day. So, we went in and I ordered some food from the pc boards, went through fine paid, so I waited, after 20 mins it was ready, said order 24 was ready and nothing, they said they were just doing drink so I said ok cool, another 20 mins and there's the drinks but where's the food?

Didn't say anything nor bring out my bag, another 20 mins and I asked where the food was and they were like oh sorry one moment. Food appears and there's only 5 our of the 6 sauces, so I asked and then they went unting for the garlic mayo, which later turned out to be chipotle :-(

When I got in the car I started eating, I had the biscoff mcflurry thing and it was ok, wasn't much too it, not really worth it but oh well, I had my double big Mac, I edited it and added some bits and removed the pickles, lo and behold there's pickles which I was not impressed with, then my vanilla milkshake that I asked for not only didn't taste of much it was bloody strawberry.

And then I spoke to my partner about her food and guess what her mcspicy that I got her had the sauces still on it, which she removed along with the pickles, didn't get pickles though however. And then she couldnt eat it becuase all she could tastes was spice, couldn't taste anything else at all even after adding some of the sauce pots we had she used the chillie one that I got as my 6th and she still couldn't eat it.

I had not been in a McDonald's for well over ten years, and visited the Aberystwyth Drive Thru branch with my partner on a whim as we were shopping in the immediate area. We parked and dined in. The food was enjoyable enough (Big Mac, fries, orange juice, baked apple pie Meal Deal for me and a Filet-O-Fish, fries, baked apple pie and breakfast tea Meal Deal for my partner), but I do not intend to make dining out at McDonald's a new addition to my culinary habits; it is, after all, still fast food, and we mostly cook from scratch at home. There appeared to be vegetarian options, but I cannot comment on the accommodation of other dietary needs.The service was fast and efficient, although someone forgot to put the Big Mac on my tray, so I had to go and ask for it. The atmosphere was busy but relaxed. A family-friendly restaurant, and it appears navigable for walking customers with physical disabilities and wheelchair users. The restaurant was clean, well-ventilated, bright, and appeared to be in a good state of maintenance and repair. It was well staffed. Parking was adequate. Price, as one might expect, represented good value for what we ordered. Although I/we are unlikely to return, I would nonetheless recommend this particular McDonald's outlet for either dining in or take out.
