I am a delivery driver. Last night, my friend (who is also a delivery driver) went to pick up food without his delivery bag. Your night manager, who is slightly overweight and aged, and usually works night shifts, came outside the restaurant and behaved very rudely with him. She snatched the food from him and took it back inside.
Later, when the driver brought his delivery bag to collect the same order, she refused to give him the order. She placed his bag outside the McDonald’s gate and spoke to him very disrespectfully, trying to force him to leave. When he did not leave, she called the police on him.
He sat there for about 15-20 minutes, continuously requesting her to give him the order because he had already accepted it on the Just Eat application. It was past midnight, and at that time Just Eat’s helpline does not usually respond or takes a very long time to reply. However, the manager said she didn’t care whether the order got cancelled or not, whether the customer had to wait or not, or whether the food was delivered or not. On Just Eat’s system, it showed that he had already picked up the order, and the customer was messaging him asking where he was and why he hadn’t arrived yet, saying the food must be cold by now. Still, the manager was stubborn and refused to give him the order.
Eventually, the driver left and managed to get the order cancelled by contacting Just Eat. Some time later, he received another order, but this manager instructed the entire staff not to give him any orders, and after that, the staff also started behaving rudely towards him.
I request the higher management to please train your night staff to speak respectfully and behave professionally. The night staff often makes orders very late, turns off their internal system while the orders are still showing on the driver’s app screen, gives wrong or missing items, and makes drivers wait for 20-30 minutes for each order. During this time, customers keep calling or messaging us for their food, but the staff does not listen or care.
After 12 AM, Just Eat customer service becomes very slow, and sometimes they don’t respond until morning, which makes cancelling an order at that time a huge challenge for us.
Please train or replace your night staff, especially...
Read moreMcDonald's seem to be the only people who can do it..... find the most useless bunch of people and some how find them employable.
Fast food is nothing something this branch understand the concept of. Walking in I noticed it was exceptionally busy, there was a couple at the table waiting and a bunch of lads eating already (they must have got there several hours ago). Once I fought my way through the crowd of 0 I ordered. Waiting for only 24 mins to be served my food.
Don't be fooled into thinking you could ask someone in there for an update, you would be forgiven for thinking you had just interrupted a teenage boy who has just discovered the "other use" for his manhood.
But have no fear, after 24 mins I got my food. I live about 15 mins away from here so headed home looking forward to my food (after all it must be the best burger around with that sort of wait time). Unfortunately I could tell you.... because the burger was missing. So after the other people I was with ate their food I then decided to cook myself something so I actually had some food.
Hopefully the extra money they had from me for the burger i didn't receive can go towards vocal lessons for the 3 x factor wannabes who can remember the words to "Cher - do you believe" but can't count to 1 when counting amount of burgers in a bag.
I get the concept of take away, fast food and all that comes with it, but come on, it's pretty much as simple as it gets when cooking and they still can't employ people who can get it right. Hopefully this September when all the current youths in school leave and are looking for a career in burger flipping, they have had enough of a maths lesson to...
Read moreA GIANT MC-DISAPPOINTMENT!!! A 24 HOUR MCDONALD'S THAT ISN'T A 24 HOUR MCDONALD'S!!!! After a long night shift, driving home in the early hours of the morning, I thought I'd stop by this McDonalds as it's a 24 hour. It's listed as a 24 hour McDonald's not only on Google, but on the McDonald's website and I have also had it confirmed by a spokesperson from McDonald's too. Hoping to enjoy a McDonald's after a long, hard day, I drove up to find that it was actually closed. Cones had been placed in the drive through to prevent any access. This is not the first time this has happened. I have tried to come here 3 times in the past week in the early hours and it has been closed every time. Before the past week, it seemed like every time I came here in the early hours after I've finished work, they've been closed and are rarely open at this time of morning. After speaking to McDonald's, they came up with different reasons but quite frankly, isn't acceptable. I wouldn't mind if it wasn't a 24 hour, but to say it is but then are closed every time in the early hours, it is clearly NOT a 24 hour McDonald's. Don't list it as one if it isn't!!! When it's open, it's great. Always happy with the food, good friendly staff but it's just a big disappointment when you expect to be able to enjoy a meal here at any time of the day, being a 24 hour restaurant, only to find...
