An absolute pleasure it was for me to attend this outstanding restaurant on the evening of Friday 22nd September 2023 with friends. The cuisine is on-par with that of counterparts in Manchester and Leeds - the Northern English home of Indian subcontinent food. The venue allows Customers to bring their own beverage and will put any in cold storage until required. Directly opposite, a 30 second walk is a hipster Off Licence. This make the restaurant very busy therefore make a reservation in advance even on a Monday to Thursday. All staff where a pleasure.

Best Indian take away I’ve ever had! Full of flavour, not full of oil. Chicken cooked to perfection! King prawn jalfrezi was out of this world! Lots of chicken and lots of prawn in the dishes. Very hard to find a decent Indian restaurant being of Bangladeshi origin myself but this has truly bought the flavours of Bangladesh to life! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

I’m a huge biryani and Indian food lover, so when I came to Penarth and saw Mo’s, on a late rainy night I decided to stop by and get a super spicy biryani. I’m happy to say it was a delicious meal (samosas were not great) and the portions were abundant

Booked a table after hearing good reviews left from other users, and I'm sorry to say I will not be adding to those good reviews.

Booked a table for 8.30pm on a cold snowy night, with the hopes of a hot curry to warm me up and make the most of a miserable day, little to my knowledge the misery had just begun.

Arrived early at 8:20pm after starving myself all day so I could fully enjoy the experience. To my shock, I had been told that the table I had booked 3 days prior, had already been taken by walk-ins.

To add a bit of context I was with a party of 8 celebrating a friends birthday. There are now currently 8 of us huddled in the doorway for warmth, degraded to penguins status. After a member of our party had been liaising with the staff and us to resolve the current situation, he had been rudely shouted at to "Close the f*ng door" when it was left slightly ajar, testament to the frostiness of the wind chill, and the staffs demeanor. This later became a joke with other customers in the restaurant who also had to endure this fiasco.

After waiting what seemed to be an eternity we were then shown to our table. A table with 6 seats, and 2 placed on the end. Squeezed in tight and two people sitting on the bottom corners of the table, we were not a comfortable sight. We are not a group of men small in stature, but rather a group men of hefty proportions, if to be modest. This clearly was not an ideal situation for both us or management, due to blocking one of the main walkways through the restaurant. Such an inconvenience was our presence, that a staff member who I can only assume to be "Mo" himself, told us that this would not work, and we had only booked a table for 7. This was true in a sense that we originally did book a table for 7. However, 3 days prior we changed our booking via email to include 1 more member, which received a response of "Ok no problem".

We were now being told by "Mo" that this is a problem and it was our fault. After explaining the situation he went off to what I can only assume was to verify our story implying, we were lying. After 5 minutes he did not come back to comment or apologies, but only when we called him over and insisted he viewed the emails, to show we were not lying. He put the miscommunication due to "bad signal" in the building. A claim of a desperate man.

We proceeded to order our food which came at roughly 10:20. Almost two hours after our original arrival. Now with a table full of food (minus 3 missing rice), we were ready to eat. To our shock the table had no cutlery, did they expect us to eat with out hands? We queried the waiters about this, for them to return 5 minutes later with a handful of cutlery that we were told to disperse amongst ourselves, the top-tier service continues.

The food was of decent standard but "Paramount" is slightly better, as a local this would be my preference. We were overcharged on the Poppadoms but at that point I couldn't wait to leave and get some M&Ms on the way home.

Would recommend if you're an adventure seeker, not if...
