New Stepney — Restaurant in Wales

This was honestly upsetting, me and my dad wanted to try something new. Honestly this doesn’t even deserve 3 to almost 4 stars. This establishment needs to be shut down.

Once I walked in I could tell this place was dirty. There’s multiple reasons why, to start off once you walked in there was a distinct smell of urine almost everywhere. I thought this was a restaurant not a public restroom. To add on with hygiene there was flies almost everywhere . It felt like I was Oliver Twist trying to eat any food without any care for the preparation or where it came from. It was atrocious. The staff was another thing. Never in my life would I think I would experience a waitress with no shame touching her rear end. When you sit down you are greeted with a lovely table, I think they love to clean using pritt sticks it was extremely sticky.

Now for the customer service I was heavily disappointed. For people coming for the first time there wasn’t much explanation of the system. If you never have been here before you are expected to grab almost everything by yourself. We sat down for 10 minutes waiting for a waiter to the point my disabled dad had to walk by himself to the counter which is a fuss on itself to order. After that the food came in around 10 minutes which was quite odd due to we ordered 2 meals. As I looked at my meal you could tell it was microwaved and not prepared well. My chips had a brown liquid on it from how it was prepared most likely in the same area as the steak, the steak was like chewing into a leather belt I almost choked once. The only decent part was the onion rings, although they were 100% from the freezer.

Once the food came we sat down for 10 minutes eating with our hands due to our waiter didn’t mention we had to grab our own cutlery. It was quite alarming due to I thought it was common hospitality to do so.

I surprised my daughter with a day out with myself and her best friend shopping then a meal and to watch a film in the odeon, when we arrived at the establishment it was quite busy bring a Saturday but we found a table and got seated to decide on our food although it was busy I found it very welcoming and clean and tidy with only one table with some glasses on which were removed quite promptly afterwards without us asking, I placed my order of three meals, desserts and drinks which wasn't as easy a just asking for each meal and paying as each person wanted slight changes to there meals which was no hassle for the member of staff serving me, he made the whole transaction easy and effortless, shortly after ordering a lady arrived with cutlery and made sure we had everything we needed and the meals followed a few minutes after I ordered the 8oz sizzler steak which when it arrived I was very impressed with not only my portion sizings but it was actually served sizzling on its own plate my meal was exceptional not many people can get the specifications of a steak right but mine was perfect and I know both my daughter and her friend found there meals delicious aswel, when we were finished our plates were removed in a good amount of time not too soon that u feel you have to hurry your dessert, our deserts aswel came gorgeously prepared and my daughter's was a sweet toothed heaven haha, after our meal we waited for a little while untill the film and although they were still busy not once we're we made to feel we had to go, the staff were very friendly and approachable and all in all a lovely meal...

Absolutely fantastic restaurant. We have very quickly become regulars and come at least once a week now. The deals are absolutely brilliant. We get two meals for £12.99 . I mean you cannot go wrong!!! We have been to several other places which do deals like this but have always found you "get what you pay for". Well we get alot more here. The food quality is brilliant and filling too. Exceptional customer service with all the staff being extremely helpful and friendly. It is always lovely and clean, always welcomed with a smile and as vegans too the choices are brilliant. So far we have tried the Mushroom and ale pie which comes with chips and the Vegetable lasagne with salad and both are absolutely gorgeous!! There are several other vegan options which is great as we also find a lot of places are limited to just one maybe two and that normally includes a curry whereas there's "fish" & chips, burgers, curry, pie and more here!!! They do great deals every day so it doesn't matter what day you go you are guaranteed great food , great quality with excellent service and brilliant prices. We won't go anywhere else for food now .
