New Yang's — Restaurant in Wales

We used to order from NY for 5 years without any issues, until a couple of days ago. Our usual order arrived and it was frankly, disgusting quality - chow mein all clumpy and tasting off, as if it was old, crispy beef obviously undercooked and pale, rice not the freshest, sweet and sour chicken looking completely different to usual. The only dish that looked normal and was edible was a curry chicken. We complained to the owner and he offered 10% off the next order which was completely unsatisfactory considering £25 went in a bin and he expected us to spend it again to get approx. £2.50 off. Awful customer service, lacking care for repeat customers.

And now I am rather unhappy to say that we have food poisoning as a result of eating the chicken from NY. Absolutely disgusting.

We will never order from there again and recommend that you go elsewhere as this place has dropped the ball big time and clearly they don't even care. I regret spending money on this business over the years, better out...

We've been coming here for years, and it used to be great! Lovely fresh tasty food, good atmosphere and decent prices. But now it's £18 each all you can eat, £16 for a bottle of £5 wine and £3 for a pint of coke or lemonade! The food isnt great, either far too salty or just bland. The crispy beef is the same as the bags you get from farm foods! The amount of duck you get is just about enough to fill one decent pancake, and if you order a prawn dish you get just 4 prawns. Had noodles that were just pure salt, they were almost black having been drowned in Soy sauce. Fried rice was just tasteless, the alleged pork was just tiny lumps of black and the chicken just white strips of tasteless mush! The waitress however, was great, but if you want to leave the waiting staff a tip, give it to them direct, otherwise they never get to see it. Sadly, won't be returning, as would rather pay for a taxi to a good sit down restaurant where it's about quality not...

I've ordered from here before and food has always been nice, however had an order last night and the chips were reheats, and prawn balls batter was absolutely disgusting! I'm not one to post negative reviews but they really were vile. The batter was overcooked on the outside and on the inside it was soft and lumpy. I peeled all the batter off all the prawns and just ate the prawns and a couple of chips. The sweet and sour sauce was watered down! I mean proper watered down! Not sure if this was because it was first time open after Christmas, but honestly, I'd never order this from there ever again. It's not my 'go to' Chinese, but thought we would try this again and no, I wont be ordering again. Was awful. Worst I've had. Prices however are good. The delivery was within the time frame. The food was just not good...
