Pear Kitchen is a small cafe in the middle of Cowbridge High Street. We have been passing customers for several years, grabbing a takeaway on our way through the town on our way home. On Saturday we finally had the time to sit in and enjoy a meal. We had to wait for a table because the cafe was very busy, but we sat on the windowledge outside in the sun and that was fine. We've tried most of the menu before and were very impressed. This time we had the swarma burger and the Buddha Plate special. Both were stuffed full of flavour and arrived promptly. We also had some cake for pudding because it would be rude not to. The cake wasn't like other vegan cakes on offer locally. It was really unique and pretty. (I had the turmeric rose cake and my partner had a chocolate biscuit slice.) I love this cafe. If I loved closer I would be in there every weekend. 😍 Pros: Friendly staff, Great healthy options and junk too, Lovely location Cons: Needs better seating configuration for more ppl

We enjoyed a very nice oat latte and cappuccino before eating a very tasty tofu burger and salad. Music was nice and chilled and we were so happy to find a fully vegan, independent business to support in Cowbridge. EDIT: Returned the following Saturday as it was THAT good. Had the jackfruit wrap (one of the tastiest things I've ever eaten) and the Buddha bowl, plus the green smoothie and, again, so glad to have found this place. Also took a slice of the Turmeric and Rose icing cake away and found out they sell their own loaves of sourdough bread and other breads too.

Wonderful, tasty and nutritious food, lovely warm feeling cafe and super staff! What more can you ask for? Since going for this first meal (breakfast bun, turmeric latte [caffeine free] and 2 slices of cake - oops) I've been back using their takeaway service, and pleased to say it's super quick and exactly the same as eating in 😊 this cafe is a fantastic addition to Cowbridge high street, if you eat vegan food or not you'll be pleasantly surprised by the taste of the food!

Everything about Pear kitchen is superb. Excellent plant based meals, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and snacks. Everything comes with a vibrant salad and an incredible potato salad which I would gladly have as a stand alone main meal.

We can’t get enough of the strawberry, banana and peanut butter milkshakes and always take home some cakes for later as the options are all incredible.

The nearby Cowbridge Town-Hall car park allows two hours free parking so there’s never an issue finding a space if you’re coming from further afield.

Perfect for vegans and non-vegans alike and...
