Suuuper friendly staff with some impressive accolades behind the bar. It's a nicely decorated, not over the top, interior and also very clean! The pickle tray and poppadoms were great, all of the sauces combined really complimented one other, including the lime and chilli pickle (which I don't usually like!). The Mixed Starter was very tasty! Finished off with a Chicken Tikka Madras, Mushroom Rice and Kheema Nan. The sauce perhaps could have been reduced a little more and chicken cooked a little less, but regardless it was all delicious! You know you have a good rice also when you can eat it on its own without being too bland! So well done overall and a fine takeout experience from "The Best Indian in Wales" 👏 ps apologies for poor attempt at presentation 🤣🤦🏼‍♂️

Missing an item from my takeaway. The food we got was delicious, really good. But if you make a mistake and miss out a dish, it’s about how you rectify the problem. After ringing 177 times over an hour to only get a ‘busy line’ is bizarre and left us having paid for an item we didn’t receive with no way to resolve. Update Oct 2024 - went in recently for a sit down meal and the bill at the end had inflated prices to what is shown in the menu. Beware!

Indian restaurant offering set meal options as well as menu choices. Very well decorated and clean throughout. Service was excellent and the food presented well with great taste and quality. We took the set lunch option which was more than enough to satisfy our hunger. Well worth a visit.

Booked the whole front area for a wedding. It was written in their book. On our arrival with our guests they had booked it out and allowed others to start eating there! Despite us arriving at the time they said they open! Considering how long it takes them to make any food, they must have been sat there sometime before our arrival.

The staff were utterly useless like normal. Their solution cram us in around these other people rather than asking the others to move and explain their mistake.

Yes we all make mistakes. I pointed out our entry in their book which was at the top to which I got no reply. It was very clear

Manager/Owner wasn't there like normal and thus yet another messed up evening.

In terms of the food:-

Read the other reviews, sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. You just never know.

I've had years of mixed feelings over this place. One minute the food is great, forward it a month or so and they are back to being naff. They had been good for the last year so thought lets go there, its local to us for our wedding and when the food is good, its very good.

I won't be going back. I've had enough of...

We ordered a takeaway through just eat.I am not a big Indian takeout fan because I find the food tends to be very disappointing and oily. This is the first time I’ve had a takeaway that just was amazing in every aspect. Despite being quite a distance away they delivered the food in record-breaking time both times we ordered. Food was very hot on arrival and everything was packaged extremely well with no leaking in the bags. The bag was labelled with the shops details on the front so if you need to call them you could do that really quickly and directly. Everything was perfect inside the bag.

I totally recommend eating the onion bhajis which I have these amazing chickpeas inside it’s the nicest onion bhaji have ever had also the lamb dishes are fantastic!

We started with about three or four different curries and each one was amazing as well as the varied rice dishes and side dishes on the menu. The specials are not the run-of-the-mill that you get in every Indian takeaway and I recommend you try them.

Great food and service. When our three fussy little boys enjoy their food then we are always going...

Pre booked a table for a special event a month in advance only to be let down and disappointed when we arrived to find our requested table had been filled by someone else because they forgot the booking despite it being clearly written in the book when the server checked.

Edited to reply to response: If you didn't want to reserve the area which we offered to pay a fee to do, that should have been advised when I phoned to book. If you agree to something this important you should honour your agreement, not change the terms at the last minute without any notification.

I haven't mentioned the food because it wasn't relevant to the review of your customer service (or rather the lack of customer service). I have been a customer of shampan since they opened, often ordering takeaways and occasionly booking a table. We have a large family and spend £80 - £140 on our takeaway orders. The food is relatively tasty but it is not so amazing that it justifies the appalling delays in service and inefficient front of house, there are better...
