Service was very slow, we were told that some of the menu items weren't available as well.

Coffee was good, I had an espresso, partners cappuccino was good as well.

Food was the real issue, we placed orders and had asked for certain items to be left off. Food was slow, we were advised of this, but even so, it needed to be managed better than it was. When the food did arrive, items that we had asked to be left off were there and other items were missing entirely. We were then left waiting longer and were told that the items we were waiting on weren't available. We cancelled my partner's order and I are some of mine, but it was cold and some of the items were not good. Bacon was cold and tough, toast was cold and tough as well. Poached eggs were ok but had a strong vinegary after taste as well.

I am sure this was not the usual experience for customers and we were just the unlucky ones. We did get our money refunded for my partner's meal and my coffee was comped as well. Staff were apologetic and I get the feeling that they were under strain for some reason, so again, I don't think this is the normal experience or level of service you could expect from them, we were...

In september 2018 i came here with my daughter for breakfast as a leaving brunch since she was leaving for university & we were appalled. The pancakes were attrocious & tiny for what the price was as well as being stone cold. We decided we would never go back to Foam again. My daughter recently came home from university & we continued our breakfast tradition. Walking along the docks we didn't know where to go & since most places stopped doing breakfast we resigned & decided to go back to Foam. Let me tell you it was the best descison since the food has improved incredibly! The new menu is nice & tasty & the food was fantastic! My daughter had the savoury pancakes & they were big, fluffy & the side dishes of bacon & eggs were marvelous! I had the egg & sausage ciabatta which was lovely & we both had 2 cappuchinos which were hot & had a nice amount of foam.

The only critiscisms we had was that there wasn't enough syrup on the pancakes but my daughter has a sweet tooth & they've taken the granola & yoghurt off the breakfast menu. Otherwise we were very pleased & full leaving Foam & will definetly...

The view from our table was lovely which was good because we had a hour to look at it before food arrived. Our drinks order was incorrect not once or twice but three times. With the incorrect items it came in two parts fifteen minutes apart which would be okay as it was busy but when you have coffee going cold with no milk it's a bit annoying. One of our party had the Scottish bay classic with whole prawns and mussels it was lovely, however he never received a finger bowl and when asked for one received an empty one we had to explain what a finger bowl was. The chicken stack had a strip of bacon that was more like crackling and the lasagna was bland and tasteless we never received a table check either. Staff were dismissive which I feel was due to how busy it was and lack of training or experience. As I have mentioned it was busy but I don't think it was so busy to excuse any of the issues we experienced. I also feel that had we come on a different day we could have had the...

Have eaten here on several occasions, was our go to place for lunch, however today the quality of food was not to previous standards. Previous fish finger sandwich was bursting with lovely fresh goujons of battered fish, sadly not today. Sandwich had 3 skinny frozen fish fingers, not even chunky fish fingers, so disappointing for nearly £10... The waitress kindly arranged to deduct 50% off this sandwich, to be honest £5 for a 3 skinny fish finger sandwich is still too much. The other sandwich of chicken, chorizo and melted cheese was ok, but definitely not up to previous standard. The serving staff were lovely and polite as always, but they did appear to be a bit rushed off their feet and service slower than previous visits during busier times of the year. Proprietor has to remember that locals support local businesses outside of holiday season and if they lower the quality of their food people won't come back.....

If you want food poisoning and bad service then be my guest! I booked a table for two well in advance for 6:15. By 7:15 I was seated at a bench half way in the car park, we asked to move and they forgot about our request and kept seating other people that hadn’t booked. The service was shocking, the attitude of the girls working there was disgraceful. After over an hour of waiting our food was delivered. Later that night, I had food poisoning and my partner suffered stomach pains also (we had two different meals)

A slightly bizarre experience. We arrived at changeover between breakfast and lunch and so were told we couldn't order food for 20 minutes. There is a bakery next door and you can buy cakes there and Foam will let you eat them on their premises. We were also told the only cake available to buy at Foam was Yule Log, but then saw other customers being served with scones and Cream Teas. The drinks were nice and came with a small Welsh Cake. The cafe is warm and comfortable with great views across the water.
