Not a bad experience but not great. They confused my son's lunch order and brought the wrong thing before correcting it, unfortunate, but they also ended up charging us for the more expensive meal. We only realised after we'd left unfortunately. Maybe just a honest mistake. Pizzeria and grill but my son's first choice of a kids pizza was not available, in fact all pizza and doughballs were off. The staff were amiable but seemed busy The food we did get was good the chips were actually great, not standard soggy chips but really crisp and tasty, if a little on the scarce side. I had the cowboy burger mega sized, I didn't actually know how big it would be as it came in under £10. It was again very good, the burgers didn't taste cheap considering the price and they were well cooked, not limp and had good flavour. During the meal however we were all persistently bothered by several files attempting to land which is not something you'd expect inside. There was an absorbing play area outside for my children and inside had a children's corner. All in all it was good food as whole family enjoyed their meals. Only let down by a mistake putting through the order and the flies in the building. It deterred us from having a dessert. Final thing was it was more expensive than expected. 3 adult meals, one of which was on a daily offer and mine was under £10, and a lite bite meal. 4 soft drinks and price was a chunk over £50, so a bit pricey but not extortionate.

Currently sat in Smithfield Bell, Welshpool. Do yourselves a favour, stay home! After removing the dirty serviettes off our seats we sat down at our sticky table eagerly awaiting our culinary delights. After 45 mins I got fed up of waiting so asked a waitress to find out where our food was, miraculously 5 mins later ta-dah our food landed. My wife ordered the Hunters Chicken ... which was described as 'smothered' in bbq sauce ..... ( I just hope if i'm smothered to death, it's done by the chef at the Smithfield ) what she received was a dry chicken breast & a bottle of Heinz Classic squeezy sauce. ( see photos for description & what we received) Food was dry, late and utterly disgusting. Anyway, time to peel my shirt sleeves off this sticky table and get the hell outta here! ...

Awful meal. Had a Sunday roast dinner, 2 roast potatoes, peas, carrots, red cabbage, stuffing Yorkshire Pudding with choice of meat or vegetarian wellington The vegetarian ( broccoli, cheese and mushroom) wellington was just pastry. Couldn't find the mushrooms or the cheese and the broccoli was the tiniest piece you have ever seen and stuck to the pastry. The red cabbage looked like the consistency of cranberry sauce. The pigs in blankets ( cost extra) were overcooked. The best part was the carrots. Expensive for what was provided. Won't be returning for the roast dinner again.

We phoned ahead to book a table for 6.45pm and asked about our dog going in the pub. They said dogs were fine outside in the beer garden- it was a lovely evening so we booked. Upon arrival we found our table and the Sun was on the beer garden so it was very pleasant. We couldn’t order at the table via app and was informed that we could order at the bar. My wife ordered pizza but we were told they weren’t doing pizza tonight - fair enough - she chose another dish. Drinks were poured and we went to our table. This was now 6.57pm. At 7.37pm we still hadn’t been served our food so I went in to the pub and to the bar - table 14 near the bar had a family sat on it and I noted the male from the family was the person served before me - they too did not have their food. I asked the barmaid to find out where our food was and went back to our table. At 7.45.pm we still hadn’t heard anything more and then at 7.50pm the barmaid came out and said they only had one chef and they were going to sort table 14 then us- I even told her that I was already thinking of what to put in my google review! ( no sign of the manager coming out ) At almost 8pm still nothing the sun had gone behind buildings and it was cold in the beer garden plus we were now very hungry after a one and a half hour drive so went into the pub and got our money back and we left Did we see the manager?- no? Did he come to explain and apologise? No Is it reasonable to have customers to wait an hour without any explanation ? No Is it a reasonable excuse to make customers wait an hour due to short staffing? No Should they have perhaps reduced the menu or stopped serving food altogether?Yes Will we return ? Don’t be silly Would we recommend this place ?...

My visit on 07/09/19. Well, I'm not really sure where to start, when we turned up at 6.45pm there was no-one to greet us, which we weren't bothered by - they were busy and we prefer to sit ourselves down as we can choose our seats. We ordered our food at 7.15pm, the bar was busy with people ordering food and drinks so we knew we would have to wait, when we got served the girl behind the bar did tell us it was a 40 minute wait which we were okay with. Ordered 2 pizzas, 1 burger, 2 sides and a sauce. It came to 8.15pm and we were starting to get hungry (an hour later not 40minutes), people had arrived after us, ate, left and their table was cleared before our food even arrived. We were told at 8.10pm that they had no pizza dough left so we couldnt have the pizzas we ordered which we were okay with - changed the 2 pizzas to burgers. It got to 8.30pm and 2/3 burgers arrived (1 hour, 15mins later, not 40minutes) I asked to speak to the manager to see what was going on why was it taking so long? The manager was very helpful and apologetic. It got to 10 minutes later, everyone on the table had finished but my meal still didnt arrive. Went up again to ask where my food was, (I presume they forgot?) I was told it was being done. Another 5 minutes pass, still no food. Food finally came and we asked where the sauce we ordered was, ... another 5 minutes and another lot of me asking and the sauce came out. The manager expressed how embarrassed and sorry he was. The only reason why I have given 3 stars and not 1 is because the front of house staff and manager were all incredibly kind and helpful. The chefs really let them down tonight, I understand it was busy, but you should never let the...
