But see update 28.9.18. Super chippy, freshly cooked to order. Fish is out of this world, succulent chips. Often order lunch by phone then just call round by car and take delivery promptly at stated time. Really friendly with professional service too. Competitive rates. Make sure you have a good appetite! Highly recommended.

Update 28.9.18 oh dear! Just had a pre-ordered fish and chip lunch, and wish now that we hadn't! Wasn't cooked properly, batter on fish was soggy and not crisp and chips were white. Just didn't taste like fish and chips at all. The only thing that tasted normal was the peas. If I was rating on this offering I would have given it one star or if I could none. Let's hope this is a one off as have been buying fish and chips here for decades and until today always been super. Big disappointment, most of our two servings went in the food waste and that's where they truly belonged. Complete waste of 8 quid. Bit loath now to risk another 8 quid on another day, definitely have an extended rest now and see if it's possible to...

The look the older women gave us when we said we were paying by card terrified us to our very soul . Our apartment doors have been locked as the haunted chippy lady has probably put a curse on us and we are scared she might visit us as we sleep . We wanted salt and vinegar on our chips but we were shaking at the thought of asking what if we weren't aloud to leave . What if the doors closed and we were sucked into the void . So we just paid the £2 card fee and left .

Probably the best fish and chips I have had in years. We found this place very recently and keep going back. For fish you have the option of Cod. Haddock or Plaice as well as Scampi, fish fingers and fishcakes. Other items are Holland's Pies, including Steak Pudding. Chicken nuggets, sausage, chicken, beef and veggie burgers. Peas, curry & gravy. You order as you enter and your food is made fresh as you wait. Classic chippy without all the Chinese stuff so common on menus these...
