Subway — Restaurant in Wales

Went for a stop off meal with my girlfriend on the way to Cardiff. We both like subway and have had good experiences before. But… not this time. The girl behind the counter, looked at us both and we could tell by the look of disgust she gave us, that she couldn’t be bothered to serve us. She mumbled all the way through, not once did she even ATTEMPT to be interested in serving us properly.

After she served us, she went outside and leant against the door and started vaping.

The standard of service had to be the worst I’ve ever had. Cleanliness of the restaurant was disgusting and we were the only ones there at that time. Two other people came in and had the same reaction off her and standard of service.

Notice a young girl there behind the counter with blonde hair, thick amount of makeup and face that would shatter if she smiled, then AVOID and GO...

Went to Subway today and was served by Lydia. She is a credit to Subway, a real gem. Everything was perfect and was served with a smile. I hope she is paid well for her exquisite efforts.

As a side note I have heard rumours about Subway in Magor from my nephew, an ex-employee, not paying their staff to work after hours and that breaks are sparse - if there are any at all.

For this I deduct a star, as I do not stand by these conditions for our hard working youth. They deserve better treatment, and their managers absolutely KNOW this. No good manager makes their staff feel less than capable.

Subway, please fix these indiscrepancies, or the law will catch up with you.

But as before, Lydia was fab. Lydia, you deserve far more....

i used to come here with my friends and it was pretty average. went today and when i pulled up, a male worker was staring at me from under the sign in their window. i felt a bit uncomfortable and went to message my friend to see what they wanted ordering. when i looked back up i saw him with his phone on the counter facing me behind his arm as if he was filming me and trying to hide it. he was staring at his screen for a while and after telling my friend about this i decided I'd go elsewhere for lunch. the staff were always ok, never stood out to me. but this made me so uncomfortable i can guarantee I won't be coming back. shame that all the locals hate this place really as it had...
