Most of the members of staff were pleasant, but there was one old man who was sat down drinking beer like it was going out of fashion and shouted at those who walked towards the bar. In a climate where customers have to adhere to varying rules from restaurant to restaurant, it was not clear what you had to do or how you proceed under Covid-19 regulations. May I say that simply 'taking a seat to wait for an order' only works when it's not busy. I wonder what would happen if it was busy?? Also, may I remind this man that some customers, like myself, are disabled, so the rules and guidelines posted by the business owner may not be as clear to me. What a pathetic attempt at running what seems to be a lovely business.
I've just seen the response from the business owner. I can confirm that as you walk into the premises, there was a table occupied by six men towards the top left (near the designated one way exit), one of which wearing the distinctive work shirt that all other members of staff wore. It was very rude how he shouted 'Don't move. Don't come any closer', but then left you there waiting to see what would happen next. He did this with the next two customers who came in, and again, delegated the serving duties to other members of staff that were there and didn't bother doing anything himself. I ended up talking to a couple on the right hand side of the building, as you walk into the premises. They also had the same treatment. If it is 'libellous' as you say it is, then publish the store video footage and stand by your own words, otherwise, I suggest you pick up a dictionary and learn the phrase 'customer service'. As I...

Read moreWith dogs being allowed in we were willing to give the place a try. And I am quite thankful we did, with a nice bar dog greeting in customers and dogs alike, the environment was nice and calm. In terms of food, I had the gammon, peas and chips (excluding the egg) which came with an impressive salad on the side. It was a very delicious meal, with the gammon being one of the best I've had.
In short, if you are nearby I'd recommend popping in they have a Thai menu on top of the menu you would expect by the seaside. So there should be something that tickles...
