We visited The Bell on two occasions whilst on holiday due to the excellent reviews. On our first visit I was initially a little disappointed. On entering the cafe we were barely acknowledged because the waitress seemed be having a chat to what I assumed was a regular customer. We sat at our table 3 feet from her, wondering where the menu was or how we ordered. Eventually someone from behind the counter saw our plight and attended to us. All that aside (but worth mentioning I think) the food and service were excellent. One minor quibble, it's not easy drinking a hot chai latte out of a handless glass!? On our second visit, the staff were very welcoming and attentive - indeed one might say charming. The Welsh rarebit was delicious and The Bell provided me with easily the best Bara Brith of my holiday. Highly...

Lovely little bistro style cafe. The first time we, me and my mum, went our little dog's pram tipped over and the staff and other customers were very helpful and made a big fuss of her (I'm sure she did it for attention lol) we had a bacon sandwich which was absolutely delicious and our pug had a sausage 😋. We enjoyed the first visit so much we went a second time with my so and his partner as well. We had a combination of different lunches, including sandwiches and toasties. They again were absolutely delicious, and the salad that accompanied them was the best, It included raspberries and grapes along with the standard salad ingredients. Also the coffee was very very good. Can highly recommend this lovely little cafe and will definitely be back next time we holiday...

66th Birthday Celebration ‘The Bell - Y Gloch’ Welsh Rarebit Extraordinaire! On my London Lewisham getaway staying with my dear sister in Llanfaethlu near Holyhead Anglesey, I was treated to my Birthday lunch at the delightful The Bell - Y Gloch. From a most tempting menu I could not resist ordering the Welsh Rarebit served & beautifully presented with a delightful salad. In all my years never had I tasted this better. With my sister Sue and her daughters Ruth & Emma enjoying the sunshine out the back, then a photo with Becky the lovely owner & chef ‘it is a secret recipe’ I so recommend this cafe at the picture postcard Cemaes...

Great cafe with epic sandwiches and smiley, friendly staff! They're also very accommodating of cyclist - would recommend as a pit stop if you're cycling in Anglesey. Top tip - definitely check out the the courtyard at the back of the cafe - it's the perfect suntrap.
