Interesting old pub with a good beer garden. There’s 3 tables under a permanent wooden roofed area so even though the weather was unreliable we could still sit outside. The portions were generous and both the fish & chips and mixed seafood basket were tasty. The service was v prompt and friendly. All in all, a good find and we’d happy go back again. In fact, we were so happy to go again , we went back 2 days later. This time we had the burger and chicken Ceasar salad. The burger is cooked v rare and was bloody. The Ceasar salad is a large plate and has filets on anchovies as well as the chunks of chicken and bacon.

A local pub with regulars, a pool table and TVs for watching sport. Brilliant chap behind the bar - he's got a great laugh. Good selection of drinks as you'd expect - Double Dragons is Welsh and an excellent session bitter on par with Greene King IPA or TT's Landlord. We didn't eat here, but the menu is very similar to The Bishop's so maybe they're owned/run by the same people. Nice outdoor space for when the sun shines. Everything clean and well maintained. Definitely a good place to stop for a drink and the food offering looked good, just check when the kitchen is in action as it may not be an all day affair.

We called first, however it was walk-ins only, so we just pitched-up at about 7pm with the dog. It was pretty busy with all sorts of customers, and dogs, which was great....we found a table in the garden. There are menus on each table, and each table was clearly numbered, so a quick walk back to the bar to place our order and the world was good!! Really friendly, helpful staff, and within minutes our order was on the table....a wonderful Thai green curry, and a Greek lamb kofti.....both were beautiful, and the Greek salad was the real thing, so we were well pleased!!! Lovely food and great staff...boom!!!

Went in to this pub for a meal, ordered the meal with drinks and laid cash,we were charged for other peoples drinks which the bar staff just said oh well We sat outside waiting for our food,we added a side order to the main order to come out with the main meal The side order came out fifteen minutes after ordering, this was under cooked The side was sent back to the kitchen and came out warmed up,as it was crispy garlic bread it was warmed up in a microwave as it came out soft and not crispy After reluctantly eating this starter as we were hungry,we then continued to wait for our main courses, these then came out over an hour after they were ordered The staff were rude and unhelpful and the manager was nowhere to be seen,if there was in fact a manger on The food eventually came out and the food was cold It was returned with the promise of a refund The refund never came IF YOU HAVE TO DRINK OR EAT HERE,I ADVISE ANYBODY ORDERING DRINKS OR FOOD TO CHECK YOUR BILL THOUROUGHLY ITS A SHAME I HAD TONEVEN GIVE THIS PLACE A ONE STAR RATING,IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN A MINUS FIVE START RATING DUE TO POOR SERVICE,RUDE STAFF AND...

Dry lamb koftas and flatbread, (kept tearing so was impractical to eat), Greek salad with average feta and not many olives, swimming in unappealingly chopped up red onion, Tsatsiki minimal. Husband's fish basket was dry. No one prepared to give us another drink whilst we were eating and queues at bar. We left halfway through meal.

And the large, very long outside table right at the back of the garden, needs to be halved and separated. Only outside table left for husband and I. Neither of us wanted to sit inside on an evening where the day had been so hot, but neither did we want to stare right at the fence so we sat next to one another to have a view of the garden. Then another couple asked to join. Awkward. Could have told them no, not free, but didn't like to especially as were foreign visitors, but didn't want to stare at them either so left them to the table and went to sit inside. If table had been split in two, problem would have been solved and a group could have put the two...

What a great pub. Good food, pleasant staff & a fab location. We headed here for an evening meal after a boat trip round Ramsey Island. No booking but there was plenty of room outside as well as inside. Good menu with a decent selection for vegetarians compared with most of the other local pubs & restaurants. We had halloumi fries with chilli jam plus sticky chicken wings for starters. Both were excellent, particularly the fries. Mains were Mexican dirty nachos (v), Spicy bean burger, Vegan curry, and Pulled pork burger. Portions were a good size, the fries were fab & all the food was really tasty & well cooked & presented. We just about had room for pudding - salted caramel torte & chocolate sundae. We definitely recommend this pub & look forward to going there again on another visit to...
