A terrific experience, with dishes ranging from good to superb. Minor niggles kept it from being excellent which I’d have hoped for at the price. Let’s get those out the way: the restaurant was much too hot and I was uncomfortable throughout. I asked to have the radiator turned off and unfortunately that wasn’t possible. The ambient noise was quite loud for me (though I am autistic) possibly because of the hard surfaces; but I wore headphones and that was fine. The savoury food was all slightly too salty for me and the sweet food all slightly too sweet. Finally, I would have liked to see foraged food take a starring role: I was particularly excited about eating a variety of seaweed, but found it limited to garnishes or subtle components. Now, onto the good stuff. None of the dishes were close to being bad: all brought something interesting and exciting. There were also very slight variations from the printed menu I had been given, which added some extra excitement to the experience. The food was presented beautifully on very nice crockery, and the portion sizes were good: I left feeling quite satisfied. My highlights were the lavercake, which was divine paired with some heritage tomatoes; the tofu, which was firm and flavorful; and the home-made kimchi, which was so good I kept a little ramekin, and ate a bit after every course, including the final. The sorrel granita also gets a special shout out. Best of all was the artichoke dish, which was astonishing. Every mouthful I couldn’t believe how delicious all over again. If I was being very picky, I would say the beetroot wasn’t needed as part of that dish, and a little more parsnip would’ve been better for providing the sweet note. Overall, the experience was exciting, the food was good, and I enjoyed the aesthetic and values of the place. I would definitely go again in a different season.

Oh my god! What a gem this place is!! We’re originally from South Wales and have been in West Wales for a few days. Me and my dad came in here today looking for a nice place to sit in since the rain was absolutely relentless and we stumbled across this wonderful place. We were fortunate enough to be served by a wonderful lady named Sioned, who was very conversational and very accommodating. The wonderful customer service was paired with absolutely amazing food! My dad opted for the carrot cake, which I was eyeing up myself and when I had a taste of it, it was perfectly moist and perfectly flavourful! But the real star of the show was the soup! I love soup so much and I have had many different flavours in different places but this? This was absolutely amazing, perfectly garlicky, wholesome and very heartwarming. Even my dad thought he should have ordered a bowl due to how tasty it was! This place really surprised me, I would 100% recommend this place and I can now see why it has so many wonderful reviews!! I would definitely come back for just the soup alone! The shop upstairs was also lovely! Very clean and well kept with a wide variety of products! I would personally recommend the mermaid hand wash, it was gifted to me a while ago and I was absolutely obsessed with it! The soaps smelled absolutely phenomenal so I picked one up. Once again, would 100% recommend the shop and cafe for anyone passing or in the local area! Big thanks to the staff from Ellie and Paul ☺️

Can I do three 5 star reviews in one? Let’s start with the private seaweed tour we did with John. Wow - what a highlight of our trip! John seriously knows his stuff when it comes to marine plants. He taught us everything and more, showing us just how diverse the seaweed is just in this area of Wales. We got to forage and taste our own and just learn heaps from John. 10000/10 tour highly recommend booking one if you’re in At David’s. We also treated ourselves to dinner here and it was our favourite meal in Wales. I’ll be thinking about the beetroot cured trout on the small plates menu for a very long time. The shop upstairs has everything, all foraged from the team at Really Wild Emporium. We brought heaps of Bladderwrack home to Canada after John mentioned this is what he has on a daily basis. We can already feel such a difference since we’ve implemented it into our daily diet. We’ll be sad when we’ve run out. Guess we’ll have to come back to St David’s soon!!

Had a lovely meal at this wonderful restaurant on Saturday night. I was fairly confident that we were going to have a good meal due to reviews and images I'd seen but it was exceptional in every way - way beyond my expectations. The building has lovely old fashioned glass frontage with door in the middle and a rustic chilled vibe inside. Light and airy with very cool music playing nicely in the background. They definitely have the music right - nobody felt the need to raise their voice so all the chatter was private which made for a relaxing evening. The tasting menu was generous and incredibly good value at ÂŁ58. Each course was of michelin star standard in our opinion and impressively inventive. It's hard to pick stand out courses but the venison and Damson/Blackberry cake were both amazing. Great bottle of South African red too (about ÂŁ27 I think) - very good value. Last but not least - the staff were charming, friendly and super efficient. From the moment we walked through the door until we left they made us feel at home and couldn't do enough for us. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough, it's comfortably the best restaurant we've been to in Pembrokeshire - we genuinely can't wait to get back there (plotting the 5 hr drive to get there as I...
