Two starters of Pate (served with a burger bun as bread! I had the bottom and my partner had the top of the bun! No attempt to toast it or make it look other than a plain afterthought. No wine menu as we were told they could not find it and no att6was made to find it. We were given a couple of options only. We ordered one red bottle and one white bottle. Both poor quality.(didnt know the price at this point either, surely these are reasonable as by the taste they must bo house wine, right??
By this time we really were getting disappointed as the food and wine was not to standard and the service was awful.
We requested the bill before we had the main meals as it was going so badly.
I could not believe my eyes!!!
£47 for two sub standard starters and the bottles of vinegar that should have been resembling wine! £20 and £17 a bottle!
Never ever again!!!
Sorry guys but that's way to much. If you have the service and quality we will pay the price but this just did not cut it in any way, shape or form for the ridiculous prices you charge.
I'm glad we didnt stay for the main meal and pay around £90 for a bad service and equally sub standard food.
We have supported you in recen6months as the business had a change if direction from pub to Restaurant but I can not pay for this, things have got worse not better!
Something needs to be done here before it's too late! We were booked in for 8:30pm and were home by 9.20pm having given the bottles of wine to another customer and payint the full price for a bad experience that we will not repeat.
I really hope this feed back us taken onboard for the sake of the business and the staff that are employed by it in there difficult times.
TO THE OWNER: Sorry to bring this to your attention in this way but we did try and call you to do this privately but we didnt get a call back from you. (We phoned your other establishment and a member of staff took deatiails to pass on to you)
It's...
Read moreWhere to even begin? If I could’ve given zero stars (or minus stars), I would. This place isn’t a hotel—it’s a handful of knackered rooms above a dodgy pub in a rough part of Neath. Absolutely no parking on site; you're told to use a multi-storey a fair walk away, which locks up overnight. Not ideal if you need an early start—or have a dodgy hip and knee, like me.||The room absolutely stank of bleach, to the point it made your eyes water. Clientèle? Already halfway to hammered when we arrived at 4pm. Loud, lairy, and not the kind of place you’d want to leave your car—or yourself—unattended. One look at the stairwell and I knew I wasn’t staying. Tiny, twisty, and not suitcase-friendly.||Room layout was bizarre (twin beds positioned like they were trying to form a bunk), carpets tired, noise constant. The barmaid was lovely, but she was vaping behind the bar. Enough said.||Ended up booking the Holiday Inn Express nearby instead—much safer, cleaner, and actually felt like a hotel.||My advice? Don’t book this place unless you're an SAS veteran who enjoys being flashed upon arrival. Definitely not suitable for single women or anyone travelling with kids. You’ve...
Read moreMyself and my 13 year old sister had a fabulous night's stay here. We just wanted a base to stay with our dog before we did the 4 Falls Trail the next day. We paid £65 for the room, we got a double and a single, tea, coffee etc and TV, in my opinion it was fantastic value for money! The service was great, the pub itself was rammed due to the rugby and although loud it didn't bother us one bit. The lady who showed us to our room was brilliant, she even walked down the road to show us where we could park overnight for free. It was a perfect stay for us and we will certainly be returning when we come back to Wales for more adventures. Thank...
