The Joiners Arms — Restaurant in Wales

Myself and 3 friends had lunch and drinks in the Joiners earlier today. I had physically gone into the pub, booked and chosen a table this morning but on arrival it had been used and the table had not been cleaned when I arrived a few hours later. No problem as the dining area was almost empty but that was the table I had chosen. The young bar lady/waitress was fine bless her. Friendly and quite helpful. She had to check on a few dishes we ordered but that was fine. The menu was extremely poor in choice!. Not like previous years. Food arrived.... very average quality. Unfortunately, there were a few other niggles as well. Too many to mention. Myself & a friend ordered the 2 for £18. However, when we went to the till to pay before leaving, we were informed that as we were not together by the till at the time of paying we could not have the offer price? I did question this and was told that's how the till works out the prices???????.... so as a result we were charged £10 per meal! Only £1 extra but totally misleading none the less. I have never heard of that ruling before? Anyway, no problem. We paid without fuss.

Drinks were a bit pricey too.

I have seen many different managers & management teams come & go over the past 12 years. I sincerely hope the new managers make a success of this lovely pub and wish them every success.

Tweaks needed at "Front of House" service also.

It has a great foundation to be a truly fabulous & profitable Public House. However, the lounge area on what is normally a peak Saturday afternoon was sadly practicaly empty for the whole 3 hours...

UNPROFESSIONAL SERVICE AND UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR RUINED OUR DINING EXPERIENCE. Following a disappointing breakfast experiend here a couple of weeks ago we decided to put this behind ud and try an evening meal with friends. We reserved a table for four at 7:15 pm on a Friday night. Upon arrival, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only one other couple dining. They left shortly after, leaving us as the sole guests. We ordered four meals, but had to settle for second choices due to multiple menu items being unavailable. To our disbelief, we were also unable to order desserts, as the chef had shut down the kitchen halfway through our meals! By 9:00 pm, the only staff remaining was a single barmaid covering both the bar and the bar in the dining area. For a significant period, she was unavailable to attend to customers as she appeared to be distracted by two girl friends—one of whom was openly vaping in the bar. At one point, both friends were behind the bar and also in what appeared to be a storage room between the two bars. What followed was a loud, hostile argument between the two women, filled with offensive language so extreme that it is unsuitable to repeat. Around 10:00 pm, the barmaid approached us, offered a half-hearted apology for the disturbance, and informed us that the pub was closing. This experience was far from the quality we had expected and left us deeply offended and dissatisfied. We will never return to this...

Unfortunately not a good experience large table of 25 mothers 60th . Pre order a week before. took 1.45 min to eat all served at diffrent times 30 min apart some of us .. sides served before food arrived and not just before 25 min before ... not enough room on table to eat so moved another free small table to join on approached by Yonung member of staff Audley said they needed that table bare in mind we had booked 3 weeks before 2 seat 25 .. half table had eaten and finished before others had food . Nothing offerd to apologise ot even a desert for the birthday girl ... cheff did come out to apologise and said he hope the food would be worth the wait and compensate for the time waiting .

Unfortunately it was not mixed grill was tiny same and I mean tiny partner had fajitas bal d no sauce no salsa just cut up chicken strips salad bowl and wraps

We were told chef was alone due to someone ringing in sick and I do sympathise with the kitchen worked in the Industry for over 25 years but with a pre order a week in advance they should not be that much of a wait .. fail to prepare, prepare to fail as they say

I hope this improves we all have bad days and nights if it was just a meal for myself and partner I wouldn't be bothered but it was a special occasion
