The Looking Glass — Restaurant in Wales

Went here for drinks only, as this is a cocktail bar. Out of approx 15 items on the menu they could only do a few drinks as they didn't have the ingredients, The looking glass facebook page stated there was only two tables remaining for that night and that they allowed walk -ins. They posted about a cocktail of a bath tub a few hours prior to our visit. When asked for this, we was told it was a promotion for the following week, but the post stated they opened at 7pm and didn't mention any other details about not being available on that night. Further conversations, materialised that they didn't have the bath tubs at that premises and also didn't have the ingredients again. The background music was just streamed off a phone, I couldn't say anything about the young woman, behind the bar, as she was very apologetic for the lack of items available to due the lack of stock.

We had a espresso martini, that didn't have any espresso but chocolate baileys in it with hazelnut sauce. It tasted nice but disappointing to have something that isn't what it is ment to be.

I can not say for definite, but it seemed that the cocktails didn't have any or much alcohol content compared to other venues locally and outside Tredegar.

Being a chef myself instead of cooking I ordered 2 Sunday roasts today to pick up. On arrival the venue looks amazing quirky and a really good feel to the place. As I was collecting our roasts I had a quick chat to the owner very nice and pleasant to chat to. The roasts didn't disappoint they were so nice and plenty of it homemade Yorkshire puddings was a bonus. Highly recommended and we Will definitely order again and also book a table to eat inside. Very dissatisfied ordered blue burger supposed to have mushrooms and onion rings with it didn't have.
